RE: No medicine based on solid evidence?

in #money7 years ago (edited)

I am a doctor soon, i am sad to announce, that this pseudo-science fake news is absolutely bullshit and dangerous.

Behind every antibiotic stands at least a decade of studies, which also analyze the risks of NOT taking the right amount. If you knew something about microbiology and the effects of multirestitent bacteria (like MRSA) on the human body you would feel ashamed posting this.

Multiresistent bacteria are one of the biggest problems in any hospital. They can result from applying the WRONG antibiotic, but if you stop taking any given antibiotic (wrong or right one) before the recommended time, you will get even more and dangerous bacteria. Make a research on that, use Pubmed for example.

Doctors dont trust pharmacy uncritically. We spent years learning the pros and cons of every single drug there is. We also learn how dangerous it its what you suggest.

Sort:

I know quite a bit about microbiology, biochemistry, and biophysics, and I can tell you that the pharmaceutical route is an unhelpful one to take.

You are running around flagging things which you do not even understand, and don't seem to be interested in learning, as much as, flagging things that don't agree with your indoctrination. Wise up, before you get someone killed.

In your very first sentence, you immediately use genetic fallacy, appeal to emotion, a triple ad hominem, and another appeal to emotion. You then go on to appeal to shame. Did they not teach you logic at university? is 'bullshit' a technical scientific term? Why don't you go do something productive, rather than using logical fallacies to demean people who obviously have a better grasp of the information than yourself?

Facts: read my comment above. Its facts.

I am not "indoctrinated" i went to medschool. Not to clown college.

My intention is to save people from dangerous medical fake news.
I have read so much incorrect information on steemit regarding important medical topics, that i use my education as a professional to prevent people from hurting themselves and others by following wrong and dangerous information.

The only question for me is how far these fake news will dare to go: "people, jump off houses, its safe, their is no gravity on earth!"

Unsubstantiated claim, appeal to ridicule, appeal to emotion, ad hominem, another unsubstantiated claim, You said yourself that you are not a professional yet, appeal from authority, another appeal to emotion, ad hominem, and finally a spectacular strawman. Every single statement you've made is a logical fallacy. If your aim is to help, then you might want to start by helping yourself.

Please learn the Trivium, the form not manipulated for authoritarian and theistic control, and Quadrivium. This will save you much time and effort, and may even help you find the truth.

q.e.d.

jesus, take your meds! regain control of your life

Another ad hominem. This is getting tedious.

Do you have any real arguments?

I am in full control of my life, part of which is not allowing myself to be fooled by obvious flaws in logic.

You might be surprised how much increase in self determination can be had using the basic tools of intellectual self defense.

Even I personally know for a doctor. So I can tell you that antibiotics lead to drug-resistant bacteria, that makes people sick. Overuse can even be deadly. MRSA bacteria are not easily spread by means of handling or eating foods containing MRSA. Antibiotics do not kill bacteria. It just stops their growth

Oh my fucking god, people, if you follow this guy for "reasonable information", read this:

  • So you "know a doctor" huh? Of course that makes YOU an expert. I AM a doctor.
  • "So you can tell me that antibiotics lead to drug-resistant bacteria": Thats what i just said, especially if humanity would follow YOUR suggestion to not take them long enough!
  • "Overuse can even be deadly": You can die of drinking to much WATER, i know ZERO cases of death by overusage of antibiotics!
  • "MRSA bacteria are not easily spread": Maybe that is why patients with MRSA are ISOLATED, you are only allowed to enter their rooms with protective clothing, gloves and masks
  • "Antibiotics do not kill bacteria": There are 2 types of antibiotics: bacteriostatic ones stop growth, AND BACTERICIDAL ONES KILL THEM

Stop spreading FAKE NEWS

We are not on the same page. Listen, healthy people are exposed to very low risk of MRSA infection. As long as we are healthy, we can stay in the same room as the MRSA carrier. Regular contacts, such as touching and ripping, do not pose a threat to healthy family members. In any case, the instructions on the disinfection of deadlines should be followed. I was once with that kind of person in a room. Not isolated, no need of protective clothing, gloves or masks...and I am still alive today.
Maybe you have different system in your country but here it has gone too far with antibiotics. Doctors are prescribing acne antibiotics for kids, antibiotics for a flu... So here are pretty overused. Weren't in a past.

And just for you I called that doctor and asked him about treatments with antibiotics. And he says that ...like a pneumonia, urinary tract infection and such he usually continues the antibiotics for another 2 days after the body temperature has normalized, although some are saying that 5 days - others would say 3 days - would kill off all disease causing bacteria so the antibiotics could stopped after that, although the body still needs more time to heal.

Not two weeks. Like most doctors would say. That was my point.

you are right, i am definitly not on your page as you spreaded wrong information. i have no idea what your intentions are, dont take it personal.
its just the wrong informations that i set straight.
