Russia is a great country with lots of natural resources. It shouldn't be hard to make a country like that to flourish economically. Putin has mostly promoted military spending and rampant corruption instead of making the economy better.

I do have a quite good understanding of economics and I follow news from different traditional media publications and I read commentary from social media from different viewpoints. Based on that I really can say that Russia is totally fucked up and it's going even worse.
