RE: The Story of Money: An Introduction

in #money7 years ago (edited)

Hey @itchykitten thanks for sharing this great post! really looking forward to the directions you take this in :) .. I don't think money is inherently evil. But I do believe it's creation & implementation has imbued within it the energy and duality/polarity of natural law. Indeed when you think of the concept of monetary and recessional cycles you begin to see the very act of creation ensures that it has become a slave to the fundamental nature of these laws. The nature of reality is cyclical, indeed from the precession of the equinoxes to the passing of the seasons the monetary system must be allowed to follow these laws and cycles. Whether it's boom or bust, we have tried to control and delay these laws and that's one of the reasons the financial system is in such a mess. Well that and greed, control but again within that exists the polarities of good & evil and so money is both a slave to natural law and the duality of humanity. Hope that makes sense, I'm just off to bed but felt compelled to comment on your great post :D

mhmmmm!!! Interesting. Yeah, I wonder how much could be different with a system that came about with respect to cyclical reality. There's a cool system built on the nile of ancient times...a Nile-ometer, where the regions tax rate was determined by how high the nile flooded that spring(thus the amount of rich silt that it carried down into the valley).
