All we as traders need to be concerned with, is setting up our credit spreads in such a way as to not let these swings hit the strike prices of the puts we are selling. We will do just fine. Look at my own spreads, despite stocks getting hit today I am sitting pretty. As you may already know, I post my own open spreads right on my website TradersChoice.net
