(CHART) The US Dollar's Death Spiral Is Just Getting Started. By Gregory Mannarino

If you need yet another reason why you should be dumping US dollars, well here it is.
The chart below, is ticker UUP, dollar bullish ETF to date.
As is very clear to see, the US dollar is in a multi-month downward trajectory, in fact stuck in a trading channel, with no end in sight.

What makes matters even worse for the US dollar moving forward is again the federal reserve, who has promised to create inflation by any means necessary. What this means is we can all expect the downward trajectory of the US dollar to continue.

In my opinion, despite the fact that "dollar alternatives" such as precious metals and cryptocurrency's remain under pressure as of late, these are the places you need to be-simply because of the fact that the Federal Reserve is determined to continue devaluation of the dollar until they hit their inflation objectives.

If you don't want those crispy, green backs - I'll take them. There will be a battle between Alt currency and USD, which we've been seeing lately. It will only intensify as we transition to a fully digital currency... say 10 years?

It wont take 10 years...

This is even more concerning since the Federal Reserve just raised rates too!

Fed hikes interest rates despite declining inflation, sets plan for balance sheet reduction.

If you are looking for a good investment to step into during this downward spiral, please read my review of GameCredits that I just posted.

The cryptos have had a bad time of late and the metals hopefully things will turn around soon fingers crossed. Cheers mike

Somebody buy some Steem, the price has dropped thru the floor.

Any idea why? I see my posts are dropping in value.

Thank you!

US Dollar has lost a shit load in the last 3 months.
1 US dollar =$1.45 Canadian / now down to $1.29

Thanks for the reminder. I'm off to the Canadian casinos where the US buck still buys 30% more gambling and buffets!

Enjoy the 30% premium while you can.
The Canadian and US dollar will be par by year end.

Good time to buy Canadian dollars?

Canadian dollars? Not for me.
I want Litecoin and Veritaseum

Stay away from the $5 blackjack tables. That's where all of the playas who just got off the "dollar crash!" bus will be headed once they get their fill at the free buffet. :-)

Trading channels show trends. The dollar is going down without doubt. Channels however imply a relatively smooth trip. I doubt this trip will be smooth. I expect the bottom to drop out quickly. But that is reason to exit sooner!

This just made my day!

Thanks for the info @marketreport. That chart is pretty ominous. Time to sink some more fiat into some real assets. Thanks Greg.

Its a great time to buy some crypto currency! We havent seen markets this low in a couple months. There stands to be some profits made if you get in now

Check out my article on the superior coi. Which is brand new and in the presale stage currently!

Once again very nice to show charts and ideas out for us. I am thankful I was able to find you on Youtube and start to follow you. Then introducing me to STEEMit which took me a bit, but I finally jumped in and I love it.
I am following everything that you though at us.

What are your thoughts currently with Oil since it fell last week and seems to be bouncing now?
Thanks

Thank you for the up vote. I love your content. Also love the videos!

I, personally, am GRATEFUL when metal prices are under pressure! It's my way of going sale and clearance shopping! 😁

Everything is going down right now. The dollar, precious metals, and cryptos! Waiting to ride the wave up with metals and cryptocurrencies.

To hell with the dollar! Although central banks, governments and the shadow elites are the ones that must go forever!

I've been following Gregory's advise, in regards for silver, for years. But, lately, my local coin shop's silver supply is drying up.

Open an account with a Mint and buy directly and have the silver shipped directly to you.

Great post
thanks to sharing

Cant believe

I agree with what you say about the US$. I think we need to eliminate the FED because they work for the banks not for the country and its people. Silver I think is what one needs. Crypto currency I am not sure of. I can have silver in my hands I can not have crypto in my hands. Thanks for all your info.

Great post
thank you for sharing

I feel like we are standing at a precipice.

you made very good points and i agree with you

I think we could be in for a bumpy ride.....

Hi Gregory, firstly I do love your posts and videos and you have great energy ! I have a question and hope it's not too personal. I don't hear you talk about your holdings in crypto so much but I know you are heavily invested in precious metals. What is your proportion of holding in crypto vs precious if you wouldn't mind me asking ?

I don't think of investing in either PM or Crypto in terms of a percentage, I try to keep only as many dollars as I need and continue diversify into "alternatives."

Thanks a lot for your answer, much appreciated!

As a socioeconomicly challenged Caucasian, I have to store my wealth in food and metals. Metals such as, brass, lead and copper.
All joking aside, I appreciate you sharing your wealth of knowledge. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the update. I have hedged against the dollar by holding metals and cryptocurrencies. Things haven't been going so well lately, though.

I have as well my friend including mining! Dont worry itll come back up!

I made it out with a nice fat profit. Never break Greg's first Rule of Trading: partial position with cash on hand to cost average down.

Harsh truths are the hardest. It sucks that it seems easier to devalue and print more currency then to be fiscally responsable. Good read thanks.

Gold and silver are getting ready to move higher, and the dollar looks ready to move lower. check out my blog to see the commitment of traders chart on gold and silver. VERY BULLISH LOOKING!

Thank you for the update

Toilet paper is more valuable then the dollar.

Many people in the alt media have been calling for higher silver by the end of the year. There is a crypto named Veritaseum which will ensure that trades take place. Supposedly it will have an effect on silvrr! ;)

I am telling people about the fall of USA dollar, but they think I am crazy...they even see the recession...

Hi Greg, I personally also bearish on US Dollar in a long term and start accumulating more gold and other commodities. Do you think there is a chance that the FED will raise the rate more than 2 time this year?

I think you're right Greg. Thanks.

Than for the update greg ..Great info as always

Greg is the best analyst out there! ;)

Zimbabwe anyone?

Looks like Hungary is currently in pole position.

https://www.cato.org/blog/comprehensive-list-hyperinflations-history

I wonder which current fiat currency can steal the top spot.

I think the only reason the US isn't #1 is because since we have the defacto world reserve currency we can export our inflation through QE. Zim and Hungary never had a prayer...

You are completely correct, I am sure that the dollars will come home to roost though when other countries begin to realise that it isn't even good for being toilet paper.

The dollar is so toxic, this is such an epic time to be alive. When the Great British Pound was world reserve It took about 10 years for contracts denominated in GBP to wash out of the global system. The dollar will never "collapse", that would throw global system into MAD. All 198 developed nations would suffer beyond belief, there would be no winners... I feel like it will go the exact opposite way, the G20 nations with any sense will eventually turn East and isolate the US and petrodollar hegemony just like Russia and China have been doing since 2010 by settling trade payment in Rubles and CNY. Once Chines gold back RMB bonds go global, then a "safer" reserve currency can replace the dollar without throwing us into WW3. They're just not ready yet, China doesnt have the full infrastructure operational globally, like the Fed does with SWIFT. I also don't think China has enough RMB bonds monetized to meet global demand to take over the dollar right now. I think the world has to find a way to keep kicking the can down the road and avoid war until China is mature enough to fill the role. The upside for us is we buy silver and gold at insanely suppressed prices...thanks JP Morgan! Scum bags....

Your lions thank you! Keep up the good work Greg

I also believe that USD is going down but may go up a bit first.

Yes. Look at the channel. It will bounce in the channel but continue trending lower.

I'll take the other side of your dollar trade soon but for right now it "looks like" market driven rates are about to begin moving loooower again soon...which would of course make everyone trashing U.S. govmint debt instruments wrong...again...as always. :-) I might have another short position brewing in SLV. This one will only generate a 100% gain in 3 days though. :-)

you maid a lot of money i agree your status ....

The USD is still in a consolidation pattern on the weekly. It has never had a 10% correction in a USD bull market so if it does crack that then it could continue down. That would be good for emerging markets. However there is a case to be made for a tight Eurodollar market which could force the USD back up. If that happens, the emerging market debt will have a problem and gold will probably get hit some more. Just thoughts but with so much manipulation in all these markets only time will tell. The central banks are capable of pulling out all the stops to have their way.

great points greg

Thanks Greg, Your so right, liked the chart,

Let's hope the dollar lose more value so the cryptocurrency worth more when we spend. (y)

Thanks for this Gregory. What was the time range on that first graph? I am very surprised to see the dollar so weak against the euro right now.

Appears to me that no hard/fast crash is coming, but instead we are experiencing a slow long grind lower and lower. Like slowly turning up the heat on the pot so it goes unoticed by the masses (boiling frog analogy). And now that Yellen has stated there will be "no FINANCIAL crisis in our lifetime", I expect there to be a different crisis - such as a CURRENCY crisis (like Greg has been preaching).

Greg, I'm not able to watch your videos on the new platform. I keeps freezing up after about a minute every time. Any one else have the same problem?
