Roger Ailes. Fox Guru or Imposter?

in #money7 years ago (edited)

Roger Ailes, the man who is personally responsible for countless accounts of sexual account has passed away. From the incident with Megan Kelly or the plethora of other women that he victimized, there are so many incidents that start to paint a picture that is incredibly dark. The man asked his female employees to give him a blowjob, others to twirl in their dress and then there were those he actually sexually abused. This apparently became the benchmark of Fox news culture, especially for women. The culture behind the well versed and well dressed was simply put, disgusting. Women moved up in their ranks based on their willingness to satiate the desires of the folks at the top.

But, think about what all of this means for the average person watching Fox News. I would've never imagined that the men on the show are anything of this nature or that the women that are being featured are under this sort of pressure. Easy to say, why are they complaining now? Well, security and financial security is an incredibly tricky matter. When you see how impoverished most people around the world live, fear of your life and fear of your wallet become a real thing.

The scariest part?

When I was a child, I thought the news meant headlines, headlines that reported factual information that made me happy or sad. But, more often than not, news was, to put it bluntly horrible stories. Never in a million years did I think the men that were reporting the headlines news would also be the ones in charge of running a sexual pawn shop, that, by whim could ask for what they want. Roger Ailes terrified women and preyed on them. He knew that they were in need of a job, career or worse knew that they weren’t going to speak up. These are the deceptions we weren’t made aware of, and now that we are, it’s impossible to look away.

Along with his partner in crime Murdoch, he should be held responsible for the celebrities and government figures phones that have been hacked, manipulated and altered. These men are supposed to be the figures we trust our kids eyes with when they see Fox News and many other outlets owned by them.

Imagine how many other media outlets are simply biased agendas ran by people of similar demeanors. Print, Press, Media are all run by a few folks who are all interconnected. Scary thought, but even scarier world for our children to come.
