This has been going on for a couple weeks now and I cant see no end to this madness!
I literally put a total of 0.4 ETH into this about a week ago. I kept checking my dividends until I got my money back in just a couple days, and just forgot about it. I just checked it today and the pot is over $6 mil! It was only around $500k last time i looked at it! I got back about 2.4 ETH not even including my early withdraw of 0.45!!! I don't even have to go for the pot anymore, I made (and STILL EARNING) a great return. Those keys are still selling around 0.0045 ($2.01) each at the moment.
This HAS to be ETH's killer app! Someone is going to win soooo f-ing big and Everyone just earns dividends.
For those that are barely seeing this for the first time, The rules are pretty simple:
Basically you buy a key and you are now the one that can run away with the pot. But there's a couple interesting rules thrown into the mix. There is a 24 hour timer. whoever bought at least one key last will take the pot and "exit scam". Every key bought adds another 30 seconds to the timer maxing out at 23:59:59.

Now here's the best part. As people buy keys, you earn a dividend for every other key(s) bought after you. The more keys you have, the bigger the dividend you get. Also at the end you get a big dividend depending on how many keys you have. The more expensive the keys, the more that big payout at the end is but so far, I have already made over 5x my investment in about a week.
When keys are bought, not all that ETH goes to the pot, it is split around to everyone that owns keys and so far we have ALL made our money back and more; Everyone in at least a day or two ago.
This skill in numbers is GENIUS. PURE genius. This is a lottery where it takes from the rich as they chase the unbelievably huge pot and you just watch and earn from their big key purchases once the key starts reaching 1 or 2 ETH each. Maybe even 10 ETH each! Its already over 13,000 ETH in the pot, how much ETH would you pay for that pot? you only need to buy the last key, only one. Check out the site and watch it as it rapidly climbs, take your chance on earning dividends as you watch, or take that pot home. This will make news, believe me.
Make sure to read the rules more and check out the teams. If you want to earn dividends, make sure you got team Snek! The team with the most ETH at the end also wins a bigger dividend than the rest!
Site is experiencing heavy traffic sometimes, causing the site to come out funky and you cant even buy the keys. This is just a website giving the contract a good User Interface. The contract cannot go down as long as Ethereum blockchain isn't down. Remember, this is a smart contract! More info on their Discord room. They are very active and helpful.

No since there is now way anyone can run away with the money at the end unfairly. This is all thanks to it running as a smart contract so all payments are done autonomously, no humans required.
It is however gambling since you are estimating that the pot will still grow much bigger than it is now. If you think it will keep going longer, then buy as many keys as you can to earn as much dividends as possible. Remember that dividends can be redeemed anytime once given to you.
Have you audited the code yourself and ensured that there was no backdoor? It doesn't look like there's been a single audit performed on this contract, and although the code is public it is an absolute mess and hard to read, which I quickly stopped doing since I have nothing at stake with this contract and didn't want to spend hours debugging a pile of mess.
Please be very careful with stuff like this it's incredibly risky even if there is no backdoor.

Code has been checked by dozens of independent Solidity teams and the contract had a testnet run. No other smart contract with gambling-like mechanics has been this safe. Yet, it is not 100% safe as you say since it could intentionally have a vulnerability (would make most, if not, all smart contracts in danger too) and of course, the gambling aspect of this. Good to bring this up though.
