Best Bitcoin Wallets

in #money8 years ago (edited)

Hi there!

My article is made for all new people, that are still learning bitcoin mechanics, how the bitcoin/altcoins network works,
how can we use crypto-currencies etc.

There are many bitcoin wallets, depending on security, mobility and many other factors.

Your purpose for which you are using bitcoin, will actually determine the best wallet for you.
However i will talk here about the most popular ones.

  1. Blockchain

It is the most popular wallet in the bitcoin community-im sure you already know about it,almost everyone will recommend it to you.It is pretty safe, easy to use and fees are normal, not high just like regular ones.

2)Xapo

This is a pretty decent wallet, which is also secure, however I would say that it would be easier to get some bitcoins out from Xapo, than from blockchain for example.
The greatest thing about Xapo is basically no fees-so if you are doing any kind of faucet activities, probably that would be the best wallet for you.

  1. Offline wallet
Obviously, there is no such wallet as "offlinewallet.com" i just mean you also have chance to try getting your bitcoins deposited, into 100% offline wallet.

There are many pros and cons of it-the main reason for people using offline wallets,is just security-there is no safer way to hold your cryptos, than on offline wallets. However you need to remember it is also a con-you won't make transfer really really fast, like you would with online ("hot") wallets.
I would advise you Bitcoin Core or Multibit-it is also a great wallet.

Bitcoin Core:

Multibit:

Choose wisely,of course you can have more than one wallet,so determine what you will really need while using it.
Always keep your bitcoins safe!

If you are looking for some other wallet and you are not sure, ask about it here,i think i can help you a little bit.

Thanks for the info!

No problem.i did this pretty quick and it may turn out very useful for less experienced people.

I have noticed, that you are posting a lot of content. I would like to make sure, that you know that this is not the best strategy since last hardfork:

Wow,this is such an amazing info for me.
Now i will make 4 posts per 24hours at maximum, because doing more is just stupid.

hey what about breadwallet? i've been using breadwallet for a while and am very satisfied, what are your thoughts?

I have never been using breadwallet, however i think it is trust-worthy actually.
There is nothing to be scared of,mostly people are satisfied with using breadwallet.

I have an history about how I saved my bitcoins from multibit wallet. Please, see my blog (sorry, but it is still in portuguese and has to be translated).
