(Proof of her video making $26,659.83 in less than 48 hours!)
And what's even nuttier than that? A guy came right behind her with a mock video, and he's made another $9,750.81.
I know this all sounds crazy, but remember this is the internet and age of things where stuff goes viral like crazy. Look at #PokemonGo. It's less than 2 weeks old and is already making over $2,000,000 per day in app sales and disturbing public peace. When things are successful, they are hugely successful at warp speeds now a days, so you can either find a reason not to believe it, or find an opportunity.
Here's another image of some other SteemIt posts that are all under 48 hours old, most less than 24 hours old and are making $1000's of dollars.
So what the hell is SteemIt?
#Steemit is a new #blockchain based social sharing site that you can get paid HUGE in steem (a new altCoin much like #Bitcoin) for when your blog post gets lots of shares and #upvotes (similar to likes on facebook) on the site. Likes and share from Facebook don't actually count, they have to be Upvoted and shared on Steemit.
You can sign up quickly and easily here: Click here to join SteemIt.
How Do You Make #Money With SteemIt?
So I started studying the site (and even posting) and learning about what makes these videos go viral, which in turn earns them some money in Steem Dollars. And here's a few things I've found that are bound to help your posts go more #viral and make you more #money!
- Share your SteemIt link on other similar and trending posts on Steemit. All you have to do to find other posts that are trending is use the trending link on the top left of your SteemIt post.
- Comment on those popular posts with a link back to your own Steemit post. (You can even make money from commenting as well).
- Share your SteemIt posts on Social Media sites so people join SteemIt and upvote your own posts.
- Hash-tag popular trend words in your posts for people searching for content in Steemit.
- Use your other social sites to link to your Steem posts in order to get commenting and upvoting boosted. From there it can easily take over.
- Use the most popular TAGS to tag your post. Here's an image of the tags I chose for this exact post as I was writing it. Look on the bottom
- Write up a nice little signature that links to your profile or any other related posts that you can attach to the bottom of your posts. Save it in a text file, so you can just copy and paste it right when you begin your posts!
Here's another great article that will help you with some VIRAL tips based on tagging: https://steemit.com/steemit/@rok-sivante/the-top-3-reasons-to-tag-your-steemit-posts-a-simple-quick-strategy-for-long-term-profits-and-success
Ok, I've Made A Few Steem Dollars.
How Do I Put Those In My Bank Account?
Well when you do write a killer post, and you do make some money it is deposited into your Steem Account within 24 hours after your post goes live. So you have to work quickly to really earn some money. I don't quite yet know if you can earn money after the 24 hour period.
I don't want to over confuse you yet either about SteemIt and the 3 types of Steem Currencies, it might make your head explode.
But if you truly are interested in understanding a little more about the currencies, then read this post by user @mindover, it's pretty good.
All you need to do right now, is sign up for SteemIt and start posting your content.
What Can You Post?
Well anything you want! You can write like I do. You can shoot Youtube video's and embed them! I've seen people literally COPYING content and while I don't recommend that, it's still an option. But from what I've seen, the best stuff to post is thing you love and know about!
You can even do a #introduceyourself post (a very popular SteemIt hashtag category), in which all you do is tell people who you are and what you like with some pics!
**Sounds dumb or pointless to write about yourself right? **
NOPE! Here are people's IntroduceYourself posts that are making money, including one dude who made over $2000!
How Do I Make My Posts Look Good Like The Others?
Well you can learn #MarkDown language, which really isn't that hard, especially if you have any experience with #HTML. I even write my posts and mark them down as I"m writing now. Here's a few guides:
https://github.com/adam-p/markdown-here/wiki/Markdown-Cheatsheet
https://guides.github.com/features/mastering-markdown/
But if you don't know HTML, or want to learn Markdown, then you can use nice fancy editors like this one by Stackedit.io
Tip: When you get good at Markdown, and you just do it as you go, make sure you copy and paste your post into a notepad every few mins if working right in SteemIt. I've lost entire posts due to stupid mistakes already, and it's a pain in the ass!
Final Thoughts
Trust me, I've only been at this a few days, and it's super addictive and quite a phenomenon. And a lot of people are making money whether you believe in this or not! If you post shit on Facebook, you are giving them your content and your rights. Why not open a SteemIt account, post your thoughts here instead and just link to it from Facebook with a nice clickbait title how I just did ;)
