Wow, I am really sorry to hear that this is happening really bad.
Right now the system is much better with a same day or immidiate transfer, but not all banks do so.
I was in Netherlands for 3 weeks and I know it was a huge hassle for me to even draw money at the time, and with the help of my local friends there, I survived with (approximately) €80-€100 cash with all the inter train travelling and paying off short rents via Air BnB.
And when you say about where people cannot to pay for it, that is where we (in #teammalaysia) been trying to build for almost 2 years now.
We foresee that the issue could happen ever since I saw what it happened to Greece and then India and the next Venezuela, we tried our very best to build a foundation - together.
Do you have like minded Dutch people close by where you are staying?
Local cash exchange was one of the ways I did with some fellow team Malaysians, including a digital nomad who was in Malaysia for 3 weeks and lost his wallet.
And everything we did was internal personal exchange (without banks)
But that requires trust and we were blessed that when we build the team we also build a family like support system.
I truly hope that things will be better for you soon, but keep creating great contents. Don't give up. Even though Steem is still fluctuating but we had some good times before and we are all 🤞🏼 that it will come again.

I think you are more innovative as most people are if it comes to cryptocurrencies. I do not know 1 single person that is interested in it except for 1 of my kids(still a minor).
As long as there is no way to buy your food with it or clothes I think the use of it will not improve.
And I do believe it is as you say: trust is the key (and if there is any experience most people have in common it is trust).
I wish you a great weekend and success with #teammalaysia
Ps the crisis world wide will increase and continue I have no doubts about that and the governments will lie and keeping up appearances as long as possible. If it comes to Greece: about 8 rich families could have saved their country and they refused. I think that says enough. Now it it loaded on the back of the people of the EU, mainly the poor ones.
