According to the Global Accelerator Report 2015, in the past year, start-up accelerators from around the world invested $ 192 million in new projects. Analysts studied the activities of more than 836 companies, of which 387 were classified as startup accelerators. Based on the data obtained, the researchers formed a rating of the world's startup accelerators by the number of projects and by the volume of their investments, and also forecast the most relevant industries for start-ups for 2016.

Of course, most startups of investments and accelerating programs were recorded in America. Europe ranked second in three categories, with the exception of the number of new accelerating programs, where Europe has been a stubborn leader in the past few years.

The ranking of countries in terms of investment in start-ups is as follows: as seen in the left column, the US is leading ($ 79mln), followed by Chile ($ 15mln) and Great Britain ($ 10mln). The rating of countries by the number of projects in which investments were invested, a similar situation: as seen in the column to the right, the USA (2522 projects) is also clearly leading.

In addition, analysts compiled several ratings on the volume of investment accelerators. Among the most "generous" accelerators in the world, the first place was taken by the US organization 500 Startups, which by the end of 2015 invested in various projects almost $ 19 million. The second place was taken by TechStars with an investment of $ 17.8 million. The third place in the rating was taken by the international organization Plug and Play with a sum of $ 7mln.

Accelerators' rating by the number of accelerated projects for 2015 looks somewhat different. The first place was taken by the British organization Entrepreneurial Spark, the second - Plug and Play, and the third - the Chilean organization Start-Up Chile. American organizations 500 Startups and TechStars occupy the final positions in the top ten.

According to the data received, analysts predicted markets and directions, which in 2016 will be the most invested accelerators. The leading position was taken by the industry of Internet interaction of things, which gained 74% of the accelerators interested in investments. The second place was shared by large data processing services and SaaS products (65% each), while the third place was occupied by the financial technology industry, which gained 64%.
