So I was on steemnow here is the link if you choose to see what provoked me to make this post here today, now I am in no way a financeer, but heres proof that numbers dont lie take a look at these numbers taken from the national debt clock website a site provided by @penguinpablo and at the top of the page a new link popped up so I decided to check it out
at 8: 13est
8:37 and the numbers still go up $1million per minute...$14,940,503 in fourteen minutes to be exact. So in the hour since I read his post the numbers have gone up a whole lot more smh.
Man, I really wished I would have paid more attention in my economics class in high school.
Donald rump's Presidential State of the Union last night I am in no way a political person I do try to keep informed, so I along with many others sat and listened to it and was happy to hear him say this:
"There has never been a better time to start living the American Dream. So to every citizen watching at home tonight — no matter where you have been, or where you've come from — this is your time. If you work hard, if you believe in yourself, if you believe in America, then you can dream anything, you can be anything, and together, we can achieve absolutely anything."
That quote stuck out to me last night during the address. as it must've for penguinpablo also, I think we can make more happen through steeming IT, those numbers on the national debt clock keep growing if any of you haven't seen the numbers you will be blown away. My main concern is our fellow people, hopefully with steemit and the whole idea of steem people will be able to get out of debt. As for the governments debt, I don't feel I owe them anything they do not have our best interest at heart at least from just looking at it is very concerning.
On the post from penguinpablo it has a cartoon on there with a homeless man asleep on a bench, and covering him is a newspaper talking about the rise in stocks 'ok, so what', you may say, well right next to the first paper there is a second one, and to me it was the most important part in his whole post it is why I am posting this here now it struck a nerve in me and I just wanted to say thank you to him personally, I felt this was too long to just comment and say hey nice post, so thank you @penguinpablo for making me think! I truly do appreciate that.
I was unemployed for about a year and raked up a lot of debt paying off bills and buying groceries and Sold my house to pay off my debts
IT's rough, we are all just a paycheck away irl from being put out on the sidewalks! I hate that you had to deal with that just to provide for your family, i have never owned a credit card, and have only had student loans, which are now paid off, but majority of Americans are living like they are better off than they truly are and that hurts the economy. Just my opinion. I hope things are better for you now tho. If they aren't keep going with steemit an I bet they will be grand!!!
