New Digital Currency Index

I read an article on Forbes about a new digital currency index you can invest in called FAAST5. The website is here:

https://faa.st/faast5

I see this is a valuable investment tool for passive investors wanting to enter the digital currency market for gains and diversification. This sort of investment vehicle will provide some diversification by investing across the top 5 digital currencies in proportion to the market capitalisation.

I’m sure this is not the first of these types of investment vehicles but it’s the first I’ve read about and the availability of such indexes for investment will make the transition into digital currency investment easier than the process most of us currently follow. Anything that brings more liquidity into the digital currency world is a good thing in my book.

It’s also good to have resource that tracks the overall market movement like the Nasdaq or FTSE but for digital currencies.

Sort:

Look at iconomi..Its a index fund for crypto..

And the world of digital-crypto-derivatives steps up to the starting line. Let the games and shenanigans begin. Here come more bubbles. Tails wagging dogs?

There are 700+ crypto currencies and this "index" has only 5 of them in portfolio? Plus ...bitcoin weights 60% . This is not diversified index. I don't like it. Index would have to include 100+ different crypto currencies, and every currency should have pretty same weight of that index.

This is it, we're rich guys !!!

I totally agree. More and more people are becoming interested in digital currencies everyday. In fact, bitcoin has recently been officially approved as legal payment method in Philippines and Thailand. More information about this here.

Well I think we are in for one hell of a ride that's for sure!

I am interested in your article, and I want to get more articles like that .. please follow me @nauval

Excellent - new gateways like this will provide volume and liquidity.

So so would this be it's own token? Interesting concept. It's also interesting to see a "professional" diversification of holdings percentages in each coin.

these guys do an index that tracks the top 30 coins... no investment vehicle to play with but they have a daily and hourly chart and list of ingredients and their weights...

This would be the scariest index ever haha
