Hello, great people! It’s a new month, time for our monthly series on mogul activities recap. I hope you’ve found our previous recaps March, April, May, and June, helpful. I trust also that you had a splendid July and August is playing out well in your favour.
As for mogul community, July was one of the months so far with low-key activities. It all began with a spotlight on Emmy-winning and Oscar-nominated producer, Cindy Cowan, who also doubles as Head of Development at Mogul Productions. The spotlight highlighted some major projects she currently handles. It’s amazing to discover mogul team exudes so much creativity and talent and are really hard-working. I just can’t hoard this knowledge. Have a look on this twitter thread to learn more about Cindy Cowan’s current film projects.
Media Coverage
Mogul was covered on a number blogs which helped to create a wider awareness for the project. “4 Ways The 100 Film Industry Can Benefit From Blockchain Technology” is an article that shows how the century old film industry can benefit from Blockchain technology and of course at the core of this is mogul productions, being the premiere platform that bridges the film industry with the blockchain technology.
We also got featured on two top tier publications in China. One of the write-ups focused on the prospects of decentralized film financing for the post-pandemic era and NFTs for independent film makers. For our Chinese fans, the write-ups are accessible through the links here and here.
We had a thorough review of mogul productions written by Carolyn Coley explaining the mogul production concept of DeFi for films and what this entails for film makers and movie fans alike. The review can be found on smartereum blog here
AMAs
As always, Mogul had series of AMAs in the last month to educate and create awareness for its project.
In anticipation of the launch on BSC network, Mogul, represented by its founder, Lisa Sun, had an AMA session with @bsc_daily community. She briefed bsc community about the mogul vision, upcoming events, and product release.
Cindy Cowan, Mogul Chief Strategist and Head of Business Development, graced our second and last AMA for the month at the Mogul telegram community. It was basically a film AMA session, and she gave production insights on the three showcase movies to be voted on for funding. A recap of the AMA can be found on this blog post.

An nft snapshot for Mogul Access Pass holderstook place on the 28th of July, 2021. All holders of any of Mogul Access Passes as at the time of th snapshot will receive a Rob Prior NFT, the mogul community NFT earlier voted on and painted by the comic and DC artist, Rob Prior. The NFT will be distributed to all eligible users soon. It looks something like this:
Partnerships
The major partnerships mogul made in the previous month were with binance smartchain protocols and they were all aimed towards facilitating a smooth launch of $SATRS token on the binance smartchain network.
Mogul partnered with Anyswap to enable a seamless swap of $STARS token between Ethereum and Binance SmartChain networks. Anyswap is a leading cross-chain swap protocol that facilitates interoperability between different Blockchain networks. Through Anyswap protocol, Bep-20 $STARS are now accessible on the BSC network. In other words, Anyswap now serves as a bridge for bep20 $STARS and erc-20 $STARS.
The second partnership was with Apeswap, the fastest growing defi protocol on the BSC network at the moment. The Apeswap partnership came with the launch of liquidity mining on BSC. Users can provide liquidity for star-bnb pool to earn passive rewards. This also implies that anyone can swap supported BSC tokens for bep20 STARS any time on Apeswap
Incidentally, these two strategic partnerships happened same day and they collectively make $STARS tokens accessible to BSC users.
$Banana Airdrop To Mogul Access Pass Holders & Giveaway
In a very generous gesture, mogul airdropped $10k worth of $BANANA to all its Access Pass Holders. $Banana is the native currency of Apeswap. They are bep-20 tokens and so were received in bsc wallets addresses. In case you had your Access Pass in your wallet as at 19th of July 2021, you most likely received some $banana drops in your wallet. Scan the wallet in bscscan.com to view your tokens.
In a similar vein, mogul in collaboration with Apeswap, had a giveaway to reward one lucky winner with $500 worth of $bananas and $500 of $stars token. Yummy deals, right? Yeah, such are the perks of being in the mogul family!
Quiz
We had movie trivia quiz night last month with a prize pool of $100 in stars token. The event was basically aimed at testing fans’ knowledge of different movies and was held at the mogul telegram community. As expected this triggered super excitements in the community.
