Hi guys. Do you remember a huge step forward that the internet caused in the 90s? We will witness how public blockchain transforms human activities in a few years. Today I will write about Module project which can find a wide mass of people, not only in developed countries but also third world countries.

What is Module?

This project represents a blockchain platform allowing any user to give their device memory space for rent to those who need it. This becomes possible with Proof of Space, Time and Transaction (PoSTT). A person, who has available memory in his smartphone, laptop or computer, can specify the amount of memory and the period he is ready to offer. A number of users all around the world will submit their devices’ memory forming a huge storage network with assistance of special application.
There are the following types of participants in Module ecosystem: the node of Verifier — the client who is interested to use the storage. The node of Farmer — the user who wants to earn money by renting out spare GBs in their device. The node of Miner — the user who verifies the smart-contract and transactions in new blocks of blockchain. Connecting service is separated from blockchain and is used for linking Verifier with Farmer, Metadata storage, network management, random selection of Farmer storage.

How does it work?

The users download the Module application and join the network as Farmer, Verifier of Miner. Verifier encrypts his information with the assistance of one of the most resistant cryptography types, ECC (Elliptic-curve cryptography). After encryption, the information is divided into parts. And each part is copied and placed to different Farmer storage Thus encryption and separate allocation guarantees the high protection level and several copies exclude information loss. PoSTT protocol enables the payment transactions from Verifier to Farmer and Miner gets payment for performed verification called “gas”

The main issues solved by Module are:
• A huge volume of unused memory space in smartphones, laptops and PC all over the world.
• Global business and government entities need a cheaper large storage place for their information.
• You need to have special equipment and understanding in order to participate in mining

Additional implementations

The application will officially be available in January 2019, although the beta-version will be released in December of this year.
On top of everything else, the ecosystem will provide the tool to create and issue own applications at Module platform. Developed smart-contracts, ready blockchain will be offered for those who plan their blockchain business or start-up.
