With Project Athena's code name, Intel is proposing a new initiative aimed at developing specifications that will characterize notebooks produced by OEM and ODM partners over the next few years.
The goal is to delineate specifications in order to obtain notebooks capable of offering superior computing power in the different usage scenarios, keeping the experience unchanged even when not connected to the power supply network. Intel also aims to raise awareness among notebook manufacturers with Project Athena to develop design and form factors that can better meet their customers ' needs.
From this the development of new prototypes exposed to the Intel Open House, with which systems are proposed with two displays or others making the most of the potential of Intel architectures built with a manufacturing process of 10 nanometers.
At Computex in Taipei, we got to see them at work, finding out more about what the future evolution in the mobile solutions market will be that Intel and its partners will make available with Ice Lake processors and the first designs resulting from the work developed in Project Athena.
