Ok, so after a lot of speculations and doubters not thinking this fight will ever happen. This fight IS happening!! Yet it's still being said that this fight is complete garbage for many reasons. One because Conor has "zero"chances of beating Floyd. That may well me true, Conor is going into Floyd's world, a man who has never been defeated in his own game and Conor is 0-0 in pro boxing. I mean don't get me wrong, Conor is a fantastic fighter. He's more than proven himself in MMA against guy like Chad Mendes, Jose Aldo and Eddie Alvarez. His toughest fights to date is against none other than Nate Diaz.
Now his fights against Nate gives you a little bit of concern because Nate has a boxing background himself. I would say that he managed to outstrike Nate in both fights and if you don't agree with that, please watch the replays. But it's a stalemate between those 2 and I'm hoping that one day they will settle the score even though uncle Dana doesn't agree. We all know Nate is a tough son of gun, yet even he admitted that Conor hits hard. The question is: can he hit Floyd??
Hate him or love him, when it comes to boxing, Floyd is Floyd. The man has a vast knowledge in boxing, beyond more than experienced than Conor ever will be.I mean... the man is hard to hit and has such an amazing defense, probably the best in boxing history. But Conor has this iron forged confidence that nobody has been able to break, he's just obsessed with fighting. That being said I still think this fight will be a success and here are a few reasons why:
- People go watch Floyd fights to see him lose, and what better way to see that than a MMA fighter pulling it off!
- Even if Conor is an amateur boxer, this fight is still unpredictable because Conor is unpredictable. But Floyd is a smart guy.
- Purely based on entertainment, who wouldn't wanna go watch this fight? I think it raises curiosity more than anything.
- Conor has a huge fan support!
Regardless of what may happen this fight will make money, lots of it! Will it end up being a boring fight? Knowing a guy like Conor, I don't think so. He'll find a way to get inside Floyd's head, we still have yet to see an official press conference where these 2 exchange a few words. Conor has a history of mentally defeating his opponent before the actual fight but he can do that to Floyd.
Anyways steemers, that's just my way of seeing it. Feel free to share your thoughts on it. We will see what happens come August 26th, I'm sure as hell will be watching!
