Another Bellator fighter jumping into Cryptocurrency

Last week during the media conference call, welterweight contender Rory MacDonald had stated he had secured a crypto sponsorship in the form of DASH and hoped it would start a crypto trend in the sport of MMA. It looks like his hopes are quickly becoming a reality as MMA Weekly also reported that former lightweight champion, Michael Chandler has partnered with Coin Lion a new cryptocurrency exchange.

Chandler said he has been dabbling in crypto for a couple of months and researched the exchange as well. Chandler seemed impressed with the exchange and like the idea of crypto in MMA. Maybe STEEM has a chance to get into the sport since it seems like we have a decent MMA/BJJ community here already.

What do you think? Is 2018 going to be the year we see more crypto sponsorships and endorsement deals in sports? I think it is pretty cool that if it becomes a thing, Bellator is the first promotion to do it in the US. Check out the full article on Chandler over at MMA Weekly.

This is awesome!! Bellator is already paying their fighters better and now they are getting cryptocurrency sponsors!! UFC better step up their game!

Exciting to see Bellator and their fighters seemingly embracing crypto! They are setting themselves up to pounce UFC in the marketing department the next few years imo :)

That's two Bellator fighters now interested in Crypto and Aljamain Sterling seems like he wants to jump in too based on his tweets last week. He would be the first in the UFC to do so publically if he does.

That's true. Although, Chris Wade is here on Steemit. @cwademma, but he hasn't posted much just yet. I'm just excited to see more mainstream dudes get into crypto and Steemit hopefully as well. We need some of these mainstream guys to attract more mma and bjj people to the platform.

More great news for Bellator fighters and the crypto space!
