That's pretty presumptuous of you to assume that there is a "correct" answer. In my world, the "correct" answer would be what I heard. I would live my life according to what I heard, not what you say that you said. Therefore, its got to be in writing LOL

I totally agree (and that is pretty rare) 'the "correct" answer would be what I heard'. I teach business English to Chinese students and I am forever telling them that it is not what you say which ultimately matters, but what the other person hears. The message being - do not assume that the listeners understanding matches your desired message.
