RE: Quality Comment Creation For Maximum Follower Gain - How To Win Followers And Influence People On Steemit - Part 3

This is actually pretty impressive (he's got balls!). I don't get a lot of the gags at the end because I am not familiar with a lot of the people, but I get it now. Satire can be hard to pick up when taken out of context. Most of the comedy we get here coming out of the US is in the form of sitcoms so sophisticated US humour can be hard to come by here. (I actually wasn't even sure it existed!) :p

Hah, you got me grinning. Rest assured it's pretty tough to find here, too.

You may have noticed I've had to explain a few jokes in the captions here and there to increase the chance they would land for everyone...

PS - I shudder to think at the conclusions if we were judged by our sitcoms.

I've travelled a bit and culturally we are not that different in the West (especially the English speaking countries) but I have noticed that humour IS noticably different, just like accents are. British, American, Australian and New Zealand all have different styles of humour that can take some getting used to.

I don't mean to sound snobby but the US exports a LOT of crappy sitcoms so perception of US humour where I am from at least is not great.

How dare you speak ill of Friends! Or...Big Bang Theory!
