Dear steemians!
We have now come to part 3 of GOOD horror movies that you must see, im writing this so you dont have to look long for finding good ones, and dont have to watch 10 bad to find that 1 good.
Therefore I will here write about the GOOD Horror movies that you simply must see if you like to get a little scare :
The recommended one today is: The Mist
IMDB: Rates this 7.2 with over 200.000 votes, and this is a good rating for this film, that is deffinently worth watching.
ROTTEN TOMATOES: I would personally have thought they would have given it a better score, but nonetheless, it is deffinently worth a watch, it has some good creeps.
GENRER: Horror, Sci-fi, Thriller
RELEASE: The Mist was released in 2007, and the cgi in it is very good, the star of this movie is Thomas Jane, whom you probably have seen in many other movies, like Dreamcatcher, deep blue sea, face off, just to name a few.
This movie I would personally give 5/5 stars, This is a movie based on a Stephen King book (I love his stories) I had not read the book before watching this movie (that left no spoilers luckily) Its a a movie that leans you towards the tv and has your attention as it is very mysterious.
The Mist follows David (played by Thomas Jane) and his son, that has a normal day with some anoying issues that makes them leave the house, where later a strange storm unleashes that becomes a big mist over the entire town, this stucks David and his son in a supermarket wondering what that mist is, and there is something in the mist as well! This will become a survival story against the unknown.
The Mist was a very great film, and one of the greatest in the horror genrer, it had some unexpected scenes as well.
There is also now a series running called The Mist based on the stephen king novel, I only started watching it because it recieved a ton of bad ratings on imdb which made me wonder as there were only released 2 episodes at the time, so I started watching it, and still am, but im not quite sure if its bad or good yet (The series, not this film), but it has my attention tho so im still watching it untill I get bored with it or something happends in it, so I can decide.
TRAILER:
As always you have the option to view the trailer, but please dont... Trailers are spoilers and you will in the trailer see key things thay might actually ruin the movie and surprises for you:
This is deffinently 1 to watch for the horror genrer.
If you didnt read part 1 and 2 of Must see horror movies, i Recommend you do that as well, you can see it here:

One of my favourite horror movies. Yes, the CGI is not perfect, but the atmosphere is brilliant. The ending stays with you for years.
What Darabont wanted to show with this movie is, no matter how bleak the situation may be, just hold out a little longer. Sounds cliché, but in the context of the movie it makes a lot of sense.
Now the tv show on the other hand, that is a complete mess - stay away from it.
Deffinently agree on the ending!
already watching the tv show, giving it a long leash with hopes on it can be good. But doesnt look like it so far.
We all have different tastes. I do not like horror movies, but I like people who look at them. Keep going
Keep up the good work!
Horror movies are awesome, but I'm not so sure about The Mist lol
Even Darabont had a hard time making that watchable.
Try doing a review of Cult classics, like The Thing (1982).
I think the ending in the mist made me like it most :)
It says a lot about not giving up.
