Six day Post... its Friday!

Yesterday, I learned the of power of 3, and got my reputation up to 33. I wrote about the things you need to do to get your post ready for prime time before you press the post button. Today my sixth posting day on steemit (3+3), I am going to look into some of the stuff I have learned minnows can use to start getting upvotes with Discord.

In case you have not read any of my other posts, please know I am not an expert at Steemit, or STEEM, rather the opposite, I am learning and sharing as I go. I am a minnow. If you are a big fish and see me sharing questionable information that you know is crap, please be frank, and let me know. I will edit the post and note in the comments why the post was edited so we can all learn.

Lets Dig Into Discord

There are multiple Steem Discord channels and at some point I hope to make a list. But for now let's look into one that caters to minnows, as we grow, we can worry about the others and explore them once we get the ball rolling.

First Get a Discord Account, if you don’t already have one.

This will allow us to join steem related discord channels.
Meet new people, and make new friends.
You can use discord in multiple ways, in a web browser, on your desktop, your phone however you want. After you have got discord running you need to join some channels.

Set up and account at https://discordapp.com.

PAL set up.

Eventually, you want to be able to post our new articles to #upvote to gain some exposure for your original content. But, before you can use the #upvote service we need to register will PAL.

Lets head to # registration

It is 3 easy steps

1. Type $registration yoursteemitusername
   (not $registration @yoursteemitusername)
2. The registration bot will reply and acknowledge. Copy memo code from the reply.
3. Go to your Steemit wallet. Click transfer then send 0.001 STEEM or SBD to @msp-reg with your given memo code.

THE BOT WILL DETECT THE TRANSFER!
NO NEED TO RE-ENTER COMMAND.

You will see that they sent your steem back with a memo letting you know you are in.

Then head to # upvote on the PAL channel and submit your link in the required format.

$upvote pastelink.

Make sure the whale has enough voting power before you post. If you see SHHHHHHHHH! in the current discord posts, don't waste your time submitting your link, it will be an hour or so until it's voting power is recharged.

We will see what the results I get today and compare them to the day before using "trick" tags. Todays tags I am going to focus on relevancy.
