signing up and participating in the Minnow Support Project.

STEP 1
Sign up and once you're signed up, type into the chat $register, followed by a space
and then your Steemit user name. Like this...
$register username
Then, send 0.001 SBD or 0.001 STEEM to the accounts mentioned, WITH an attached MEMO
in the SEND which is also given by the return message.
Send the 0.001 STEEM to the 2 accounts and then once again, type into the chat...
$register username
STEP 2
Navigate over to SteemVoter.com and Sign-up a new account.
Input the information it asks for.
Go to the RULES section of the website and add a NEW RULE
and then type in the username of the user you wish to vote for you.
You enter here minnowsupport
Set the delay time to whatever you feel like, default it fine,
and make sure to leave it with 100% Voting Power.
STEP 3
Navigate over to Streemian.com and sign-up a new account.
Input necessary information.
Then, go to this link:
https://streemian.com/profile/curationtrail/trailing/416
to find the profile of "minnowsupport" and click
"FOLLOW TRAIL".
THEN: IMPORTANT!
Add in your TAGS in Streemian by pulling down the TAB and entering them in the box.
There you go
You should be all set up.

Hi, I'm stuck on step 1 after register, no clue how to send Steem to the 2 accounts. Please help.
You send from your wallet in steem. Find the amount of SBD or STEEM you have and next to it is a down arrow, click it and hit transfer. Don't forget the memo.
where do I find the two accounts that I am supposed to send the money to? @hypexals-spiral
hey @hypexals-spiral . I joined and became a member of PAL but whenever I request an upvote I only get 2 votes - One from Banjo and other from Minnowsupport.. shouldn't there be more? Are there any more steps which I may have missed?
If you're using the $upvote command any other users signed up for Streemian should vote on posts that minnowsupport votes on. Maybe it's bugged.
Do you have Streemian and SteemVoter set up properly?
Yes, that's what should happen.. My Streemian and SteemVoter is setup correctly.. Does one have to be a greeter as well in order for this to work?

Didn't do anything specific.. I think it's related to the tags that you use in your post..Not all people might be voting for those tags.

The tags are for the website to know what articles tags your votes will follow and apply to.
@hypexals-spiral I have a problem with streemian account. i accidentally give them a wrong email adress and cant change it now. is there any chances that you can help me with that?
Sorry I have no control over Streemian accounts. I'd suggest trying to see about another account with a different account name and email address.

You have to come over to the Discord chat server and follow the instructions on upvoting posts with the $upvote URL command.
You have to verify your Steemit account first on Streemian by sending 0.001 SBD with the provided memo and then unlock your Steemit account using the open source web application which prompts you for your username and private key. Then you can access the link and hit "Join Trail."
I was having the same problem but just got Streemian to work!
Ah right, I'm hesitant to provide my private key as it can be used to transfer funds @cerebralace.
Yup that's understandable. It's supposed to be super secure however and allow Streemian to only curate posts for minnowsupport on your behalf.

The Discord bots will upvote your posts every time you pass the URL of your post with the $upvote command. Streem Voter will upvote every post of minnowsupport on your behalf. Once Streemian is set up, it will be able to curate every post with the minnowsupport tag.

Hello @cerebralace i'm hestitant to provide my private key too. "It's supposed to be super secure", If you remember MtGox supposed to be secure too...
When i try to register to streemian and use StreemJS to unlock my account, i have this message "This operation requires your owner, active key or master password". Why Streemian require owner, active or master key whereas application just need to post and upvote, and in this case posting private key would be sufficient, like Steem Voter ?

I must not be bright. Is there a specific group of tags, or is it what we feel we want?
The minnowsunite tags and related tags are helpful. Consider also commons areas like writing, adventure, art etc.

No problem, I forgot to add that at first because I thought the area you enter the TAGS in was more visible. Seems not so. Many of our first members still don't have it set up right. Have to track them down and let them know.
Sorry another dumb question.. does this mean now we use the minnowsupport tag on all our posts? Still getting my head around it hahaha
No just posts regarding the minnowsupport project or just supporting minnows in general.
Good way is to tag the posts will whats relevant to the post.
Some people use whatever tags they want, which I guess is fine...

I can't get past step one… the discord link takes me to a page where i can do nothing… i can not click on anything, or type anywhere…? It might be my 2006 iMac… i don't know… but i can't get any results… please help anyone..
I thing I doesn't like for that chat is that it's a big distraction and the noise and nonsense can bring you a headache. I found some of the people I follow there. Still worth, but I'd consume with caution.

You have first to verify your Streemian account. All the infos are in the end of the main page after you verify your email. :D

I'm at the streemian step but I can't sign up for it it says:

Steem Account Name

Error
Steem account already in use here!
but I never got an email or anything and I don't seem to be able to either log in or use my email to register a new account.
Any idea ?
I have a few questions if anyone can help me out?
I am signing up for steemvoter, the vote delay is default 20 minutes, isnt that too much voting or does it just check if there is a post every 20 minutes and vote if applicable, seems like it will drain too much voting power..... also does this mean I should never vote manually at all?
Next: I am in the discord chat and i tried the upvote bot, the first time it said it could not find my post then said i was in cooldown, do I have to wait a day if it doesn't vote my post or can i try again? Banjo was able to vote my post but not minnowsupport :/

Sometimes the bots are a bit wonky. Sometimes minnowsupport will say you have 40000 cooldown but will have upvoted anyway after a few minutes, sometimes not.
Generally I would wait about2 or so hours.
Voting manually is fine and usually the way to go. 20-30min after the post for auto voting is ideal just keep an eye on your VP throughout the days.

The best way to help out Minnow Support right now is to delegate some SP to the account @minnowsupport.

Step 3 I get a Server 500 error when I click the link.
I've used the Streemian unlock app and it says Posting authorisation successfully added
But the link to the curation trail is still giving me an error.
