RE: Minnow School: Lesson 1- Create your STEEMIT mission statement in 3 steps!

I won't be taking part anyway so feel free to completely disregard me but, why is social proof important? Personally I disagree with the concept of advertising social status to the world. If I know I'm doing well I have no need or urge to make sure everybody else knows that I'm doing well, it seems very egoistic to me, but I don't know, maybe you could convince me otherwise.

Depends on your objectives. I'm looking to grow my account. Social proof helps. If you're just here to chill and have fun it's meaningless.

That was what I assumed, and I pretty much do fall into the only here to chill and have fun side of things. Also, I upvoted your post because, even though it's not for me, I do see the value in something like this for people just starting out who do wish to grow their profiles.

Thanks for your responses, I hope I didn't annoy or offend you or anybody else with my views on the subject, I'm just looking to learn more about this site.
