Starting from the middle of February, 2018 our developers have added some neat tools to our arsenal, which we will use in full force to combat farming for easy money.
Does that mean that the "spam detection" as you called it is managed by bots? Or do you have people (human beings) reviewing content?
When boosting your posts, use common sense - does a copy-paste tech spec of a mobile phone really deserve to be in the HOT section.
I think that's a bit more than just using common sense. Copying content from the internet is a clear copyright abuse and would need to be punished in any case. It's not that content like this doesn't "deserve" to be trending, it needs to be removed (here: hidden).

This way we guarantee not falsely accusing anybody.@surfermarly we will go with a hybrid approach. We will have bots handle the detection and humans review them before taking any actions.
Sounds great! I guess you're one of the first boosters that are taking such measures. Hopefully the others will follow your example.

Hmmm @surfermarly - I think you should really stop being aggressive against all bot guys here. As we all agree copying content from anywhere is not good and should be stopped and fighted against - but copyright laws are near to non existent -you will not win anything when it gets to court! Believe me! Steemit is not my first platform and that topic was / is discussed everywhere but a waste of time. Flag it but do not ask a lawyer to go to court, your money is lost. Copyright is not existing and also local regulated (if at all!).
I saw you were spamming various bid bot posts with accusations or a thank you for helping a certain post into trending - not their fault. If cheetah would work that would be on bot blacklists.
If you blame someone attack the people enabling linear rewards from last HF, that was the birth of voting services. Sorry for being direct but your crusade is attacking the wrong people in my view! You did not expect this from me - I never expected to write this as well!

I agree, but that's the job of Steemcleaners. The most we can do at minnowbooster is limit abuse of our services.
I think in a decentralized and self-governed community we're all somehow in charge to limit abuse the best way possible. I'm happy to see you're taking the first steps into that direction.
I absolutely agree! It's why I go spammer-hunting and report to steemcleaners when I have time (which hasn't happened in a while). It's a fun activity I recommend to all minnows looking to make some extra SP and contribute to the community by helping steemcleaners tag scammers and spammers so the bots can flag them.
