Taking a deeper look at these accounts reveals some troubling facts...
All these accounts seem to belong to same person or at least to the same group of people. Similarities start with same post handwriting, going from the lack of content, with just one smartphone photo, up to the same boost amounts, same low effort on all posts and same usage of tags. Leaving out the exact nature of our tools, users can verify the basic connections between these accounts by just taking a glance at their wallets.
What's alarming, is how fast a spammer's ecosystem can grow, if not put to a quick stop. Making accounts is easy and encourages spammers to create more low quality content.
What's wrong with these posts?
Some users tend to argue with us, that all photos are an art form and don't need additional text. But a simple smartphone photo of a half-eaten sandwich wont't do.
Boosting every photo that you have in your image gallery and doing that with more than 20 accounts has clear signs of intention to farm post rewards and abuse the Steemit platform.
Yes, the platform is monetized, but the monetary rewards are intended to go to people, who actually have put work and thought into their content.
Let it be noted again...

Hi @transisto nice to trip over you here, I have just read haejins open letter to you, and would like to add a few points, I was talking via a comment to hendrix22 a few weeks ago, sure the post was about haejin though I never mentioned him, or the post content, add to this I have never even commented on a single 1 of heajins crap posts. Hajin came along and downvoted 1 of my posts, and sent uradick and btu to downvote two others, merely for talking to hendrix22, guilt by association eh!, so while he bitches about people like bernie downvoting his innocent sheep, take into consideration how far past that haejin takes his anger out on innocent people. It took @fulltimegeek to come along and re upvote my posts to get them back to normal, something I am very grateful for. Just letting you know the other side of the coin.

Good thing these guys are caught and banned. Spammers like this not only make Steemit looked bad they even prevent legit authors that make quality content from buying large votes to boost their articles. Which is a big loss for the community as we could potentially lose talented authors. Therefore, great work @minnowbooster. Your actions would greatly benefit the community and would hopefully help great authors get their will deserved rewards.

I appreciate your time and effort, indeed tools will help in detecting plagiarism, and spammers. The blacklist must be shared across others like cheetah, steemcleaners etc. There are still many spammers in Steem ecosystem. Keep doing it and make steemit free from spams.

I am new to Steemit and I am looking for ways to get myself noticed.. I feel like my post get lost in the feed. Is this different from Minnow support? I am finding that there are a lot of different bots out there to try to help us... I just don't know which one to use? Hmmmm Thanks for sharing yours..
Need big money to get noticed right away, or already be a "social media influencer" from another platform. Using bots without a following or without being able to craft articles that are sure-fire ways to get whale votes is a waste of money.
When you're starting out, just comment. And maybe resteem less, so that the few articles you do write can be seen on your feed.
Don't use "..." so much. I don't know if you're South or Southeast Asian but the ellipses really makes it look like you are because they use it so much and, let's be real here, even if you were from there, it would be better for you if whales thought you were an American from Florida rather than just another spammer in a botnet from one of those regions.

How do i buy upvotes for quality post that are not receiving adequate reward?
I appreciate you are taking good step against spammers. I think on Steemit platform only genuine content should be promoted. I recently joined @minnowbooster and I think it is offering good services as compared to other services.
The other day I found a few accounts that were consistently hitting the 'Hot' section with low effort, 1 picture posts without even a single line of text in them. These accounts made around 40 dollars per post.
It just baffles me that they were still getting support from their followers, because I just can't understand that anyone would want to support something as low quality as that.

They are not here for photography, literature or to find the best chicken curry or masi goreng recipes.

We did had a whitelist in the beginning but we dropped that idea as there were way too many good writers to be whitelisted there we made it open to everyone and instead started blacklisting

Why would anyone even bother posting low quality photo like that one? I believe people are not stupid enough to upvote meaningleess content.

This is well done. From the time I joined this platform 2 months, I have already noticed there are a lot of blogs which get 20 to 50 SBD just by posting a lunch or dinner picture. You're doing this platform a great service by noticing this and cautioning would-be users.
Thank you for doing your part on being more diligent and having better quality post requirements on what you will accept bids for up-vote, this place is in dire need a spam clean up and the many bid bots going around are getting abused with low quality content. Photography can be an art but not all photography is art and I agree a blurry smartphone photo or half eaten sandwich doesn't belong on the hot or trending page.Once again, your spam fighting efforts are appreciated.
