I wonder if you or someone else could explore a loan idea for people with steem power:

Let's say someone has steem power locked up, but they see something they would like to buy now and don't want to wait the weeks needed to power down. Minnowbooster (or someone else) could loan that person, for example, 50 steem for a month with the promise to pay back 60 steem through power downs in a month.

Just an idea. Searched around and didn't see that service being done on a grand scale.
