RE: Help MinnowBooster Make March the Month of Minnows!

in #minnowbooster7 years ago

From my knowledge (correct me if I'm wrong) you guys are charging a 10% or 15% fee right? This has been the fact from the very start and since you guys have increased in volume dramatically, I assumed this would fall to 5% or even lower soon, but this hasn't happened yet!

I feel if you drop your fees and post some actual data regarding approx how profitable your service is for investors (like ROI per week, month, year).

Furthermore, I feel like you should advertise on other forums. Perhaps add an investment guide like "How to Earn Crypto With Your Crypto!" and talk about how you can earn Steem by selling your vote via Minnowbooster.

With added exposure, value and transparency, I'm sure you guys would bring in a lot of new users to your service and Steemit!

Sort:

Our fee depends on usage and when usage spiked, we decreased our fee. The current fee is pretty stable and from our current metric we should rather increase it again (which we are not doing).

Since we are more than just a bot, but with customer service, abuse monitoring and many other background things that add up, going to a 5% fee does not look doable at the moment. And while the difference between 5 and 15 percent is huge for our business, the difference between 85 and 95 percent is not that big for the customer. And we rather offer a good service that can deal with all issues that may happen, instead of a margin business that has to go wild west style on issues with'no refunds'.

We are working on calculation tools and investor focussed pages, but one thing that selling your vote has is that is it dependent of steem price and sbd price and therefor historical data is not really accurate for the future and calculations have many variables. So while we like to give our investors as much data as possible, we don't want to mislead them with fake numbers that may work with the ideal case but are completely misleading in practice.

We offer an accurate ROI for market orders, as they are SP to STEEM, but votes are SBD to SP and there ROI takes into account when you convert, how often you vote, when you vote (regarding to steem price on chain) and how good curation is. We can give metrics for past behaviour but they are not easy to normalize from all these variables.

And we are working on many projects that bring investors to steem. Giving us a few percent more allows us to fund exactly that and also work on tools that we can offer for free :) It is a tradeoff and we opt for quality!

Nice reply! That makes sense. I've been using your services for a very long time regardless of what I said but I still think advertising outside of steemit and attracting other users might be a good idea!

Hi @reggaemuffin. Your service is great for a new minnow like me... I have been active on the platform for 41 days and I have put so much time and effort into so far to grow to nearly 50 SP.... I just transferred 0.6, 0.6 and 0.3 to Minnowbooster, and no upvote or refund.... Can you help me please, I am just a manual account, but I do try to send 0.01 to minnowbooster many times in close succession... I hope I am not blacklisted as a bot... I am not one... Just look at my content to see or ask me a question... Please help me here...

I actually have heard a lot about @minnowbooster and I plan on using its service in some couple of hours.
