TIL: Blackbeard, Marshal D.Teach in One Piece Anime is a true character and feared by the America as the most evil Pirate.
His smoke-wreathed face, with its wild, staring eyes and tousled hair, made him seem like a creature from hell. His long, bushy black beard frightened America more than anything that is associated with evilness.
Born Edward Teach, in Bristol England in the late 17th century, Blackbeard fought as a privateer before becoming pirate and then sailing to America plundering vessels along the coasts of Carolina and Virginia.
In November 1718, a British naval force cornered Blackbeard at his base at South Carolina. During the battle, Blackbeard was shot dead. The British cut off Blackbeard's head, hung in to the British Vessel, Jane and sailed home with grisly trophy.
