Evening all or morning depending on where you are from.

Im Arron and would like to welcome you to my Blog

I invite you to follow me on my journey through the crypto world.

Today is my second day of mining for Zclassic and wanted to share some setting and logic that i have learnt so far.

Whattomine.com says i should receive around $1.92 per day profit from a days mining.

I know that my card it not very efficiecent but it is only a start to see if i enjoy it because as much as it about the money it also comes down to enjoyment. I wont sit and look after a mining rig if i do on have fun as what is the point as if i wanted to do that then i may as well be at work.

For the settings i am under-volting my card and also overclocking a little also settings used;

Core voltage - 950mv
core clock - 930 MHz
Memory clock - 1575 MHZ

This is giving me around 250 -275 sol's.

I dong get any crashes with these settings, but power usage is still fairly high. this is due to a few reason's the power supply is not 80+ grade but just a cheap upgrade i purchased a couple of years ago rated @ 750W, im also just using my old desktop computer but again have under volted the CPU + RAM also to try to save on some power as i am running a old AMD Phenom 2 560 BE. A lot of rigs i have read about use cheap Intel processor and only pull about 30 watts at the wall but with mine i am pulling 58 watts when in power saving mode or 89 watts when in high performance mode. This may not seem like a lot but the calculations in "what to mine" it reduces my profit margin a little.

as you can see my profit is now $1.46 per day so this is a reduction of nearly 33%, obvious;y you will always have the cost of a system to run but if this is something i wish to do long term this efficiency of this will need to be improved, however the power supply may be the first thing that i replace as this will improve the efficiency of the whole system rather than just one component.

Kind regards
Arron
