RE: Proof of Stake Coins as (almost) free way to multiply your holdings.

"Steemit runs on open source code,"

last I checked only the website itself was open source. The blockchain itself can not be forked legally, I don't know if that changed recently though.

' it and build a more egalitarian system"

Every internet connection, every server, every computer part, and every watt of electricity is built on economic slavery. You do not understand at all.

"No one is forcing you to keep using it."

Kill one person or kill another. "Nobody is forcing you to kill x", but you are still being forced to kill somebody.

Sort:

Actually it's simple enough to do. Steemit and EOS were created by forking BitShares. I get that you don't like capitalism, I'm just saying that if you are agreeing to use the system to "end itself", there's nothing stopping you from creating new egalitarian platforms and communities. Showing people a better way is going to be more effective than name calling.

"there's nothing stopping you from creating new egalitarian platforms and communities."

actually the military tend to stop you. Chile, Venezuela, new mexico anarchist colonies etc etc.

this shows a few hundred times that the United States alone attacked anti-capitalists trying to create that society

There is literally no way to do it peacefully, nobody wants to lose their slaves.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-communist_mass_killings

here is a list of tens of millions slaughtered by capitalists for wanting to create a different society.

"Anti-communist mass killings are the political mass murders of communists, alleged communists, or their alleged supporters, by people, political organizations or governments opposed to communism. The Communist movement has faced opposition since it was founded, and this opposition has more than often been organized and violent."

Can you not be delusional next time, thanks.

I'm talking about virtual communities and platforms. I don't deny any of those things happened. Blockchain gives you a great opportunity to decentralize society and show the power of direct democracy. You can try to seize the opportunity or you can vent all day into the ether. If you think your comments are changing minds or improving the world then by all means keep on going.

" show the power of direct democracy"

What? Its based on wealth not democracy. It equates somebodies existence to the amount they can take from others.

and on top of that you can't build an egalitarian system over the internet if somebody at the end of the day has to still work in a coal mine for scraps to keep his computer going.

It is literally against the law, it doesn't matter how simple it is if the government gets in the way.

Here, steem is not open source
