Kemah Boardwalk Near Houston Texas

in #mini6 years ago (edited)

First off, my apologies for not posting any pic. I only do text posting and I’m sure if you want photos and videos about Kemah Boardwalk, you can find them on your phone in just a few clicks.

We arrived late last night. My wife and I both had to work yesterday and it is just normal that our weekend starts in a Saturday afternoon and ends Sunday night as always “planned” in our every not so exciting week.

But this weekend is different. I had asked off for this coming Monday since it is my wife’s weekly regular day off and I wanted to spend time with her. And we assumed all the time we had left together with our small children before the winter break was over would just be this Sunday. And we planned to head out for Houston for just this one day anyway. And then I double checked our son’s school calendar only to be surprised with an extra bonus good news: his school won’t start until Tuesday! WHAT? An unplanned long weekend in the beautiful texas coast?? YAY!

So, we left the house in Austin at 8pm and headed the coast instead. Thirty minutes before we arrived to Kemah, I booked a hotel and confirmed it on a spot.

And we’re gonna “live” here on the boardwalk for the next couple days since we won’t have to check out until 6pm tomorrow.

What an exciting unplanned long weekend ahead for us at Kemah Boardwalk. If you ask me, I think I will like it much more than the Disney Resort in Orlando Florida!

Our 9 year old son always loves this place. Our daughter who is about to turn two was actually here once when my wife was 6-month pregnant of her. And as I’m writing this, she is standing on the balcony outside our door, looking down to the streets of the amusement park. I think she is liking it too!

You should check out Boardwalk Inn at Kemah Boardwalk sometimes. With small children or not.
