Did you see @cmp2020's posts about the SteemCraft Minecraft server project? It went live today, so I jumped on to explore.
Spawn is HUGE, and very impressive with it's Steem City towers. @cmp2020 has the basics done and you can see where work is being carried out to add further features.
I was able to explore the Towny world (for claiming town land and building on), but haven't earned enough in-game money to pay for a claim yet. Instead I spent a lot of time roaming the "NoMansLand" world - exploring abandoned mine shafts, befriending random sheep, and collecting resources. Oh, and napping. Nothing like an in-game nap after chasing chickens up and down ravines.
It's obvious a lot of work has gone into getting the server set up. There's lots of potential here to build a great Steemian Minecraft community and I'm looking forward to meeting other players on there soon!
For the server address plus a useful list of basic commands, see @cmp2020's go-live post: SteemCraft (Minecraft server) Live Now.
Is this server still up? I hopped on a little bit ago but there was no one on, it's on an outdated version, it was very laggy, and the server crashed after about 5 minutes.
I just checked and it's still up. It had a lot of promise, but I don't think ended up with many players.
