Yes!!! I used to run contests because when I started, I got Steems from contests. I won 50 Steems in one contest and another 20 Steems in another contest, both were writing contests and Steem was 7 USD each back then. It powered my account, from then on I made writing contests per week to help my fellow planktons. Until, I settled to hosting games where no one loses, like a Steem faucet kind of game. I run 2 of those games in my account up to this day. The Guess The Color Game and Proof of Steem Game. Imagine if we have 10-50 people running these simple, no barriers to entry contests and games...
