I changed the way I see and use Steem and got better at it

I have the feeling that I changed my behavior in Steemit.

When I entered in late 2018 I was chasing quick cash. Frustrated by the complexity, in the beginning, it didn't hold me long here. After a couple of weeks, I gave it another try. I read so many posts on how to be successful on Steemit, how to create valuable content, how to get a lot of followers in a short period of time... You cannot imagine.

I think I was quite active for some time and already made some cool experiences. I joined @pifc for some time, which I really have to do again because the people are just great :) I got delegations because, in the beginning, it is really hard to contribute in this community. (Lack of resource credits)!! Thanks to @thedarkhorse & @crypto.piotr

I learned to write a bit better than before. Since I tried to steadily increase my content quality. It all helped to be now here, where I am. The one thing that I still did is that I was looking for opportunities and topics which I considered to be valuable for this community. I want to make Steemit a better place for everyone and this is where I put my energy now :)

Then I had a break again and occasionally looked on my account. Interacted less with the community. My second quit, I guess. I was away for 2,5 months I believe, but now I returned with a different mindset.

I set the goal to interact with people, trying to spread value. I only post about something which interests me or where I have the right energy to contribute something with value. I have the feeling that in that way I am way more authentic and the success comes on its own.

I also do not care if I get successful here, but the whole experiment/time being on this platform makes a lot more fun now.

Lesson learned

I think the lesson I learned is that you should have fun here. Not chasing something, opportunities appear on its own. The less you care and the more you do what you feel like, the more successful you will get.

This is just a short post but in my opinion valuable enough for some of you.

Yours,
Max

Brother and friend @mcnestler.

What you have experienced happens to all of us who really appreciate the platform.

Exactly like that, in that same order, it has been my experience in steemit.
But you know what? In Every return you come recharged. Repowering. So those short absences are not all bad.

I do not care if I'm successful here either, but the experiment / the full time on this platform becomes much more fun now.

What do you call success? I think that just by staying here, you have already won.

Hey @juanmolina thank you for your comment :)

In Every return you come recharged. Repowering. So those short absences are not all bad.

You are totally right :)
I agree with you, success is just being here and making some nice connections :)

Thanks for sharing your story with us @mcnestler

I can be only glad that you gaved Steemit another change and found that this platform and its communities has a value for you :)

ps.
I decided to set small steem-bounty on your post and share with few friends :)

Hello @mcnestler friend.

After reading your excellent publication I can appreciate that the lesson was learned.
The truth is the way to tell us the whole process that you had learning, I also realize that it is worthwhile and it is for that reason that I am here because it is already a success to be here.

I can also appreciate that your rest for the months out was very valuable for you and your growth, my friend, I congratulate you for that. From Venezuela I tell you that you have a new friend.

A virtual hug for you.

Hi @lanzjoseg, very good mindset my friend. I appreciate your comment.
That is very kind of you :) The same for you from Germany.

Cheers,
Max

Dear @mcnestler

My great grandfather was German I flee from Germany at the beginning of the 2nd War did not like much what was going to happen was a visionary and was against Hitler, but when he arrived in Venezuela he completely renounced his German nationality for all the crimes that there they happened.
Venezuela is currently going through something very similar to Germany when it was divided in two. I dream of knowing Germany but I do not have the resources.

Hi) I m also new here and everything seems to be so complicated but your post motivates me )

Enjoy what you do and success will come to you :)

Why have you used the tag " deutsch ".
Did you not know that it is reserved for the german language?
Please remove the tag " deutsch " or write in German language.

Hey @lichtblick,

Deswegen mein Kommentar.
Viel Spass auf Steemit.

@mcnestler, In life we take pauses but it's fine because until we are not stopping no one can stop our growth.

Hello @mcnestler!

I'm glad you're back in Steemit and that your attitude towards Steemit has changed. We all get frustrated trying to make more content and get attention. But little by little you will find what you like best and then you will begin to enjoy. You've already noticed that. Many times you will realize that the interaction with others will be the engine that drives us.

Many times one does not find the role within this network. But it's a technology that is evolving and constantly changing and maybe that's the best. I suppose the important thing is to enjoy and have fun while you find the best way to take advantage of this technology.

So let's keep having fun and let the flow take us where we need to go.

i'm glad you finally come around and got to this point, took me a while to get there too. The more people think like this the better the place will be and the value of the coin will increase and we will all reap the benefits. The first YouTubers didn't know they would be millionaires by sticking it out, they just had fun making videos, thats the way I see my interactions here.

I do eventually want to grow and start a few projects but its all in the name of fun

My dear @mcnestler, I think you have the right attitude and you are finding the right people. You must stay on that route.

I set the goal to interact with people, trying to spread value.

Very intelligent brother that is correct, what you receive.

Take care
Pr EV
