Haiti is a country totally submerged in an economic, social and political crisis of impressive magnitude. When a mother prepares biscuits of butter, salt and clay knowing that it will produce stomach problems and their nutritional content is almost null but also gives them food to their children is because the problem of food in Haiti is very serious. From medicinal origins these cookies were consumed by slaves who came from Africa but are now consumed by the lack of food on the Caribbean island. An earthquake devastated the island a few years ago causing considerable material damage but the main problem of the country is the corruption of its rulers who have taken the Haitians to such desolate extremes, it is said that since the time of the colony the slaves who came to the island already ate them but with this crisis the consumption of this product made with mud increased.
