I completely agree with what you wrote. The bible also says something about that in Matthew 5: 43-44

43 You know that it was said: Love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.

44 But I say to you: Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you;

Looking at it that way, I feel it is easier to write it than to do it. For me as a human being is really difficult but seeing it from mental and spiritual health is really easier. It's just letting things flow naturally.
When one person gives a gift and the other does not accept it, who gets the gift? who is wearing it, right? It is the same for someone who takes an offense or a bad action towards another person and that person does not take it into account, he has no other option but to keep his gift.
