When we appear in society, we have many different faces.
The face you wear in front of your boss is different than the one you wear when you are out with your special other.
Our self-image is a portrait that is constantly changing and evolving in the light of our character development and the things that happen to us in life.
What is the relevance of this self-image when it comes to doing things that contribute to your daily productivity and mindset?
Our solitude is a comfort zone unlike any other. It is the ultimate place of sanctuary, where even the darkest parts of our inner self can find light and shine.
The thoughts that we are afraid of having, or the things that we are afraid of doing, or things that society deems wrong and brings much shame can easily be performed or accomplished in the space of our solitude.
This gives way to a dangerous thought pattern that can bring you down in the long run.
But I have found a solution for that which can turn your own solitude into a weapon of your productivity and positive mindset.
It is simple: if you want to be productive, try to preserve your self-image and do the things that you would do if you knew that other people were watching.
Let me elaborate more on this argument.
Consider a person whose opinion matters to you. A person who should always see you as someone responsible and considerate, and someone determined or serious.
It could be a family member or a mentor.
Now imagine that when you are in your lonely space, that person is watching you.
Obviously, you will not do a lot of things that you would do in their presence.
Whenever you imagine someone who is expecting great things from you, the incentive and motivation in your mind suddenly rises to the roof.
That is why you should imagine them when you are alone.
Because if we are being reasonable, when we are alone, we shouldn’t do things that we wouldn’t do if other people were present and could stand judgement to our deed or thought.
A lot of people get distracted when they are alone. That is why this is a good technique to boost their productivity.
Always imagine yourself in the presence of those greater than you, and you will see that it is easy to do the things that get you closer to your ideal self.

I have been working very hard on this blog since the beginning. I have a very busy life but I am giving my best and believe me I have shared experiences that I have been coaching thousands of people and I know that the change of the Mindset should be daily. I am already grateful to see you giving upvotes to each other and you can see this with the fact that many already have 8, 9, 10 upvotes. But I'm sure that with the effort of all of us we will see a community with, more and more upvotes each others and for that everyone should get engaged so we can make it come true. I believe and we can! Resteem...
In the end you will see that I ask you all to sign up for a youtube channel that I created this specific channel to talk about steem and for projects that I am working on steem that soon I will release a video about that channel. It's important that you sign up for the channel and talk to your friends at steem so they can sign up as well.
There is no video in the channel yet but it is important that you are subscribed to this channel precisely so that you can be notified when I launch something there.

The masks are for protection. Someone needs to wear them when they have fear, tremendous amount of fear. Getting rid of fear in life is the key to removing the masks.

hi, interesting post, it sums up some discussion I had with myself some time ago, now I'm totally productive, and having a pure passion like music helps a lot as well; makes me think about that movie I saw, "Hollowman", to sum it up it was about some scientist passionate with biology, a particular scene of the movie stayed in my mind, whenever he was distracted and looking towards the ceiling, there was a note up there, it was written: "you should be working"; and it's a real catalyst for productivity; for me it's simple: I clearly want to reach my music industry goals as fast as possible, so I have no excuse for distraction, as simple as that, when you have big goals and potential, you can't let yourself down like that :D
I believe that beyond our imagination, we're always watched even if we're alone.
If we think that we're alone and nobody is watching, this is really dangerous obviously,
If you fake out in front of other people you can never go a long way, somewhere or the other you will be exposed in your true nature. We all have flaws so it's ok to let your flaws come out in front of others.
Sometimes we need to wear different hats which may be situational but that does not change the basic character which is the most important in maintaining one's integrity.

I really liked this post, I am interested in the different gazes people have with different people. I am a bit of a people watcher and see what your are talking about all the time.. I covered a lot of this in University, where we looked at semiotics. Anyhow I have just started my steemit account, and would appreciate any help in getting started. I put my first post up today. This could be a great practice to remain focused and productive always whether lonely or not.
I personally agree with the fact that when no one is watching you, you are watching yourself. You will get pardon from everyone but not from you ,if you do silly things like wasting time, doing thing without any direction and just to please someone you have another face mask to show.
If our success is just for showing off , then we must introspect deep inside.

From my point of view, I think that the perfect society would be one in where our self image could be the same in every situation of our life. I'm always trying to find this self image, 100% me, that I could show to everyone, no matter who.

Hello, I found this post in my feed today and read it, including the notes at the end. I've subscribed to your youtube channel as well. I love what you are attempting to do here and the positive attitude. You make a very good point, that I've never really considered. To act when you are alone with no one watching the same as you would act if someone you really admired was watching - this would definitely bring forth a good effort and focus. I intend to try this when my mind tries to wander off when I'm trying to accomplish something. I'd like to join this community, and be added to your list!

Great article! Just started here on steemit and I'm so glad to see an article like this is the kind of thing trending on this platform. I want to see a massive exodus from the mainstream social media and decentralization of that power so that we aren't seeing "market makers" running our attention span the way they've been running our stock market and media. This gives me some hope that real thinking is actually getting some kind of traction out there, so thanks for posting this
Somehow, it seems unwarranted. I mean, u on the one side acknowledge that loneliness is important for creativity & self discovery and then u suggest possible solution to tackle d dark side of it. Why dont u advice(explicitly) how to symbiotically live with it?
( some might call me lonesome but it might also be that i have just allotted a very low percentage of my time for social interaction & i m peacefully living ).
