Hi Steemians!
Motivational speeches or awakening revelations are not alien or unbeknownst to us. From time to time, in our lifetime, we are struck with instances that stir our inner desires to go after the things that we have always wanted. Have you ever come across a piece of information that you thought could drastically change your life and you really wanted to put it to use, but didn’t take any steps towards it and it got lost in a small corner of your mind?
A couple of days ago, we talked about the ‘5 Second Rule’ and how it can change your approach in finally doing the things that you always postpone. For a lot of people, that rule might have been the pissing piece in the puzzle of their life, but a lot of them have not taken any steps to actually practice it. I know what you are thinking right now; that this has happened to you time and time again, but have you ever wondered why?
The main issue here is that our deceptive mind is yet again at work here to hinder our movement and prevent us from arriving at the place we want to be. When you learn something new, or something that inspires you, your mind accepts the legitimacy of this new profound idea, but tricks you into putting it in a corner of your mind, like a wrapped gift, to be opened later and at a decent time. Trust me, that time never arrives. It is an illusion, much like the many tricks of the deceptive mind that are always seeking comfort in the expense of losing your dreams and your desires on a large scale.
The solution to this problematic tendency is performing small tasks in regards to these ideas. What we know as Micro Actions is the answer that will vanquish this mist of illusion to help you start doing the things that you have to do in order to get to the places that you want to be. The key is doing something. To stop postponing what you can do right away, or at least take a small step towards doing it. With this approach, you will tell your mind that you have had enough of ‘thinking’ and now you actually want to ‘do’ something with these thoughts.
The expression ‘Micro Actions’ might seem like a strange or new concept to you, but in reality, it is the same philosophy as taking small steps to achieve greater goals. Remember this; to arrive even at the greatest and highest of places where dreams come true, you need to take small steps and walk in dark paths of struggle and hardship.
By drowning ourselves in the fantasy of the place of our desire, we forsake what we have to do to arrive there. Remember; it is not the destination that we need to envision, but the step that is in front of us right now.
Remember Community: Please, if you commented on a new post I did, please always go back to the previous one because if someone in the community commented lastly because of time zone differences it will be without your upvote and that would not be fair.
My goal is to see you all with 80 upvotes and for this we need to bring more people with positive Mindset to this blog and this you can do by inviting people who follow you on your blogs and making a subtract of all posts.
You all know the goal we can reach.
The question is: Who is with me in this endeavor?
A BIG HUG!!!
When new ideas appear we must practice them at the moment they appear in our mind, because after that the passion is extinguished and one finds too many excuses not to do these things. We must be willing to do things at the precise moment in which they occur to us. Do not leave for tomorrow what you can do today.
Dear @chbartist sir!
Before making any decision, there should not be a dilemma in our mind. If we delay in making decisions then our deceptive mind starts to do their work. Maybe we have to change our decision. Our deceptive mind keeps on looking forward to our decision. For this, we need micro-axis. Your concept always be based on realty which we have to realise.
I agree with you my friend @chbartist that we should not postpone any kind of work if we can do that right away. Success is the name to keep struggling.
I'm here my friend and upvoting every comment

Its important to take first step towards our path of sucess. Time is very important and very much limited too. You rightly said about micro actions that it may seem to be an small but overall it's an attempt which we make to move us forward. Thanks @chbartist for another motivational blog. Have a great time.

Thanks again sir for this empowering blog post.
We know it's really hard to come out of our cave, it's not as easy as we think. When we have learned something good, we know that we will be benefited from it. But why we do nothing? because that requires changes in what we have used to do and make us uncomfortable. So we stay in the same situation. Sometimes what we have learned, we put it in practice immediately but later on we slow down and eventually we become idle. Practice what we have learned and make it a habit. Little by little, inch by inch, though slow-moving, you are making a step away from you were standing.
This concept of micro actions is a great way to simplify things that are deemed daunting at times. Instead of thinking of climbing a 100 story building, it is about doing it one floor at a time and handling the challenges as they appear rather than not even trying. Great approach!
I concur with your example of the 100 storey building. It gives a clear picture of learning and planning through taking tasks out one at a time and piece by piece. Awesome illustration.
I always like your learning and teaching attitude @chbartist bro.may i know about that community which you talking about in your post will you take me in that comunit...🙂

Interesting read!
I've read somewhere a similar thing that we have to cross that initial barrier of starting to overcome the obstacle of procrastination.
For that we need to start. So just tell yourself that you are going to do the task for 5 minutes only and would leave it if you don't like it by end of it. And most of the time you'll cross the barrier by end of 5 mins and hopefully would set up a momentum for further progress.
It is true, steps must be taken even if they are small instead of staying stagnant without doing anything ...
It is all about taking action. Once you take action, its not just a thought in your head...its real life! We all have wonderful ideas to change the world or make a positive change. Now the real question is, how can we project those ideas out into the world. And how do we do that exactly? The secret is... TAKE ACTION!!
Very good!

nice post
The five second rule, truely liberating. See the human physic is made of mediocrety and failure and as such we find our selves helplessly taking the wrong path. That is to say, to be productive and live the lives we aspire for, we must be willing to parent ourself into working an extra mile from avarenge. Act, committe, succeed, repeat
The post is very good, it has to think, it leads you to ask questions, what are you doing to achieve your goals and we should concentrate on doing micro action, since the sum of them, the final result would be the fulfillment of the goal that you set And from my point of view the first step will always be to stop postponing
