RE: Be Here Now, How Fear of the Future Has Been a Medicine Block

in #mindfulmonday5 years ago

I finally had to accept that I need to be here now. Truly all I can do is focus on the present moment and focus on my breath.

Once you've realized this, it seems so obvious doesn't it? Power of Now really helped me know this at a deep level. The other aspect of the book that I feel is equally important is what he calls pain bodies (emotional traumas). Once we are living in the Now, those traumas can be observed, felt and released.

You've included some really beneficial advice here. Thank you for those suggestions.

I am so grateful this resonated for you and the suggestions were helpful 🙏🏻💜💕 yes it does seem simple and in my life I notice some of the simplest things can be hard to adopt. Ahh yes the pain bodies are very important to recognize too, that was a huge wake up call for me. Have you read "Anatomy of the Spirit" by Carolyn myss? It is a wonderful read as well and really dives deep into pain and illness and why it is the individual's responsibility to heal and let go of trauma.

Thanks for stopping by 😀

Absolutely. We are 100% responsible for our internal state of being. Anatomy of the Spirit was one of the first books I read on this type of subject. It was instrumental in opening my eyes to the fact that there is much more going on energetically than can be seen from the outside.
