11 Steps to a Million Dollars

in #million • 7 years ago

As I mentioned in my previous post, I think my poverty defined my identity.

Being poor was boring, embarrassing and frustrating. 😓I hated when I saw my mother shopping for price instead of quality. We used to eat the same meals daily, weekly or monthly (I still struggle with soya sauce, which my mother puts in almost all her cooking, because it reminds me of end-of-the-month meals.😱 Lol) My brother doesn’t eat lentils anymore and one of my cousins does not eat Mac and Cheese, because those foods remind him of childhood and being broke.

So today I want to share a diagram which represents, for me at least, the biggest breakthrough in my Journey to Become Wealthy. I trust it may be of some benefit to those who are on a similar journey.
I do want to give credit to the mentor who shared it with me but for the life of me, the reference is elusive.

So credit to:

  1. Robert G Allen (Creating Wealth),
  2. Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad Poor Dad), and
  3. Mark Victor Hansen (The One Minute Millionaire)

for sharing their knowledge and experience with the world.

This visual has helped me tremendously in charting the journey
Here it is. 11 Steps to a Million!

If this diagram is too intimidating, here is the 20 step one, which starts with baby steps.

It takes courage to decide to be wealthy. Good luck on your journey

I can relate to your aversion to certain things that trigger those bad old memories of being poor as a child. That is one reason why I refuse to buy used clothes for personal use. Buying used items to sell on eBay can be smart, but I will never ever buy used for myself again. Being a child in a poverty stricken household can be scary. Being a poor adult is no fun, but at least as an adult, I have some control over my circumstances. I have hope that I can make things better and someday acquire wealth.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Acquiring wealth is a step by step process. Good luck on your journey.
