Can you really watch this video and say that you don't think those sponsoring these bullets deserve access to this information?
If you don't think Americans should know how tax money is being spent, don't you think that the families of those killed would like to know what happened to their loved ones?
We've been sold on the idea that we must be enemy to something and that not assuming enemies equals to not recognizing any evil in the world or wanting for things to get better.
When I first heard about Manning I thought to myself that it was unfortunate that of all people, a trans person like myself, would get into the controversy that is transparency for governments.
But then something unexpected happened, I remember a time where the biggest issue online for trans people were fetishists, they were the great annoyance so I thought it was a good thing for moderation to be introduced to control that. Boy was I wrong!
Somehow pretty much all moderators ended up being feminists (or identifying as such), this happened rather quickly too. Everything was good so long as you were polite and didn't object to people talking about certain masculine attributed behaviors as something toxic, but before I knew it people were being banned because they honestly couldn't understand that a person may prefer some pronouns over others.
I tried to justify it as best as I could, telling myself that we needed at least one place where we'd be addressed by our names. I'd tell myself we had been mistreated for too long, that it could be therapeutic to have the safe space mods kept talking about for once in our lives.
Soon I discovered that the spaces that were supposed to be welcoming to people were only welcoming to certain ideas, the Manning leaks helped me realize something very weird was happening.
Pretty much all transgender groups on Facebook censored us from speaking about the case, if they didn't say the subject was going to be censored then they just did the censoring in silence. We were told that we were not allowed to talk about these leaks because people were too passionate about the subject, so basically to avoid confrontation the name Chelsea Manning, Bradley Manning or just plain Manning was forbidden.
I hanged around the few groups I wasn't blocked from for protesting this measure, hoping maybe one day the subject would be discussed. But despite the chronic media attention the trans subject gets today and has been getting for a little while, most trans people wouldn't know about this whistleblower.
When I saw her saying thanks to Obama for releasing her from prison I couldn't help but think what was going through her mind knowing this was the same person who imprisoned her to begin with.
I can only imagine that she was grateful for not being tortured with isolation and not really thankful to a president that had her released after the elections, on his way out.
Why wouldn't they?
This is the answer that we get from these supposed elected representatives when asked for proof, evidence of how the leaks have affected national security. Where are the reports? This is exactly why transparency is so important, we are letting a small group of people with very personal interests decide how accountability is handled.
If I should give any advice to Chelsea, given that she's been inside a hole for 7 years, is to disappear. Go live your life away from anyone who can recognize what you did, stay away from the transgender subject which has been used for a couple of years as a distraction, and keep a considerable distance from anyone calling themselves a feminist.
Go, live your life without regrets because despite what many people may think, that these abuses could have been handled differently and you didn't have to snitch, I've known whistleblowers who have spent decades in prison for a fabricated crime in an attempt from government to take any credibility that they could ever have. I know someone doing time right now, having several medals to recognize his service, who is living in a box because he did what you were supposed to do and reported to his superiors concerns about a domestic threat.
You were lucky, believe it or not, most snitches end up in ditches.
Get into cryptocurrencies if you haven't so your money is not frozen and just disappear.
Well kid… You won't be censored here! I'm an old man can only imagine the things you see every day. But if steemit has one promise but I intend to hold them to it is sensor free communication. That is why I'm here, though I doubt I'll ever need a sense free environment. But I never expected all of the other social medias to kowtow to the politically correct crowd. People need to do the best they can deliver the best they can leave everyone else alone. Good luck!
That's how I ended up in Steemit, running away from censorship. I have more interest in freedom of expression than I have in making money but it's nice to not have to give one up for the other. Thanks for commenting!
This was a good read, I too remember the silence around this subject. I support her and completely agree, get crypto and get underground. Thanks for this, and omg friggin fetishist right?!
Crazy how people who will not like me only because I am trans can make me as uncomfortable as those who like me only because I am trans.
Glad I wasn't the only one taking notice of the censorship situation. Thanks for commenting!
Censorship in The USSA is hardcore.
"Feminists" get funded ; anything else gets their ad revenue blocked, harrassed, lose subscribers, get trolls, get paid shills...
"Feminists" get airtime ; everything else is given lip service at best.
I watch a lot of what people would call "red pill" (mens rights, MGTOW, regenerative farming, alternative fuels, alternative media, conspiracy factists, flat earth, new age, etc...) And all of them are getting hammered. They are the bad guys. And the "good guys" can do no wrong in attacking them.
Currently, I believe trans is being used as a prybar to open up the idea of open relationships with minors. And that is the only reason it is being promoted so much.
I believe LGBT is being set up to be the new "jews", the excuse for locking up half of america.
And poor Manning. I used to believe in justice and that I would get my day in court... and then I learned that there is no level they will not stoop to. They will lie, make up false evidence, and if that doesn't work, they will just have the judge pass judgement. It is not a fight, it is a torture session done to keep the justice charade alive.
I agree with @tommycordero, if you are reading Manning, walk off into nowhere. Your life is toast. They won't let you have it back.
What makes you think this?
This is a hard one to put into words, because it comes from a lot of disparate information.
If you look into the global elites, the thirteen (The reds - Rotschildren, The greens - Bush, The blacks...) families have a bunch of reports going about generations about child molestation and .... fracturing young minds so they are more susceptible to psychopathy. All kinds of things we think of as evil, they think of as raising a child to be like them.
Why does Jennings get tons of coverage? Covers of magazines, etc.
Further break downs in what were once fetishes are being mainstreamed.
Take into account that the MSM is a controlled mouthpiece of TPTshouldn'tB, then you assume everything that comes from them is to paint the picture they want people to think.
If there were just trying to make the central american bible thumper more upset, they would just cram more gay/lesbian onto them, but they seemed to have let that die down. (although suing shop owners seems to be their next move there) So, they are forgetting the LGBT and are now heavily announcing transgender. Restrooms and other spaces that are delegated to keep sexes separated are all under attack. And this isn't about the small percentage, who have just basically hidden in a bathroom stall all these year, it is about something else. About breaking down the whole barrier. And the only people that would care if we just had one great big bathroom is horny teens and people who are fixated on children.
And then you have the sick people who are in power. The ones who go to 'that' pizza shop. And there biggest fear is being found out for the sick people they are. These politicians don't care about any issues. They do not stand on any principals. But they all seem to be getting on the bandwagon.
All of that added with Agenda 2030, and my conclusion is they are trying to make paedophilia into an accepted practice.
Easily. Don't carry weapons in a war zone. Those look like weapons to me as well.
Manning was caught twice mishandling classified data. Because of his homosexuality, he was neither punished nor was his security clearance taken away.
It was not until Wikileaks released the cable intercepts that revealed other countries mocked oblahblah as a buffoon that the oblahblah admin took any measures against Wikileaks or the biggest leaker, Manning
It was OK for Wikileaks to target Bush, because of politics...but don't embarrass a thin-skinned narcissist with the power to put you six feet under!
How many native intelligence sources were murdered because Manning leaked? You know, the guys trying to protect their countries from islamist takeover...the same islamists torturing homosexuals, killing homosexuals, and throwing homosexuals off roofs.
The whole Manning case is a great example of successful #informationwar; here is a guy that should have been bounced from a sensitive position long before he did. Just like Reality Winner, here was someone that had no business in the intelligence game. Because of Wikileaks propaganda power, Manning is now supposedly a hero.
Remember, it was this video that was supposedly clear evidence of war crimes...no one put the oblahblah as laughingstock angle into coverage at all.
I just realized I used he to describe Manning...just chalk it up to his status at the time of leaks...not a jab
Can you reference this?
Maybe this is why we need transparency? I don't know, do you? How many died? How were they killed?
You may have a few people on Facebook that consider it so, but this is not consensus by any means.
That's not what got most of my attention, it was the fact that I didn't mention homosexuality once
Not asking whether it's smart to carry weapons in a militarized zone or whether the actions in the video are justified. This is the question:
I'll get the references for you later, too much on the fire for now.; feel free to remind me coz I'm getting scatterbrained. I remember all this from 10 years ago more clearly than I remember the tasks I set myself yesterday.
The homosexuality track was to point out the results of Manning's actions, not a dig at homosexuals. There is a "gay mafia" in the military command that protects homosexuals under a blanket "harrassment of gays" policy, regardless of the offense commited.
Check Manning's wiki for the previous security violations, I think I got them there (check the Talk page to see if they've been edited out if you don't see them). I'm pretty sure that's where I looked them up the last time.
I can see how there would be a lot of gays and trans people in the military, specially American military, because these people generally get some respect from the public. Many effeminate males looking to bring out some masculinity to fit in, many masculine females looking to hide their masculinity in order to fit in. Everyone looking to feel loved and useful regardless of their gender, gender identity and/or sexual orientation...
I can also see how a few gay people may have gotten special treatment at some point. I can see how many could have ended up in very high positions because these people couldn't even dream about having a family until recently and still today. So there are many homosexuals and transsexuals who do very well in their careers because that's all they really have. Once your family turns your back on you and the world tells you that you can't make a family of your own then you need to focus your time into something else.
Having these people in powerful positions could come to the advantage of those who are involved romantically with them, it's not like other people in heterosexual relationships have never received any benefit from relating to their superiors, even and specially in the military.
Now, to go from don't ask don't tell to a gay mafia in the military in less than a decade? This is a little hard for me to believe.
And that right there is the problem, censorship, lack of transparency. I, for example, don't have any evidence of the feminist take-over of the trans and diversity subject in general, this is because of the heavy censorship. Because until Steemit came along all these conversations online were being censored, edited out.
In the same way information can be edited out it can also be edited in. If those records McCain speaks of don't exist they can be fabricated real quick.
DADT started 92, so about a decade is right. The problem with the military is that policy is determined by political officers rather than professional officers, look how fast the military started the whole "global warming as a security threat" nonsense. I haven't looked at total costs on that one, but they go way past buying "bio" fuel at 4x the price. So you can look at that speed that shift took place and see that took place in less than a decade.
I'm going to bring up Deep State subversion of the military as a possibility; by subversion I mean putting people that will take and promote the "right" ideas. I don't want to get too deep on that one because i don't have a clear picture of what is going on backstage. I say a leftist/globalist alliance, but there are always more factors than can be accounted for...
but in that scenario, leftist and globalist politicians have to give each other policy positions (otherwise, why ally?)
FWIW, I think that the military should be comprised solely of single hetero males (no married guys), and that the mission should solely be killing the enemies of America...no nation building, no social justice statements, no humanitarian missions...well, OK sometimes this.
I don't think that women, homosexuals, and married men are incapable of combat, but the social problems that come with diversity intfere with the base function of the job.
There is a civic problem in that, because everyone should be able to serve, but I haven't worked out a good solution. I know what we are doing doesn't work (see the navy boat that got captured by the Iranians)
you deserve some sources on these statements, so give me a couple of days and i'll put up a post
And how do you determine who is an enemy? A soldier should just shoot at anything he is told is an enemy of America?
The enemy thing is rhetoric, it's one of those famous trigger words. Same as the word leftist or globalist in my opinion.
Are there dangerous people out there? Yeah. Are there people who may resent the American government or even American citizens? I'm sure there are, specially after watching that video. But rest assured the military isn't moving a finger unless there is some financial interest in doing so. No such thing as humanitarian missions, even if soldiers have helped a few or many people, no such thing as humanitarian missions.
The idea of people willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good, to protect their loved ones, it's a beautiful idea. I've known people joining the military after that idea so I'm not trying to say soldiers are bad.
I just want the real business out in the open so that we can tell why people are being labeled as enemy, the truth. I want people to see the mess that are these missions, I want them to hear the children cry as their parents are killed in front of them. If I could get the smell of rotten bodies through the TV I'd want everyone sponsoring the military smelling that too.
We are told that we shouldn't care about the surveillance because if we are not doing anything wrong then we should have nothing to be afraid of, I want governments, not just the American, to show us what they've got and are doing at all times if its true they're not doing anything wrong.
I don't want more men dying under the illusion of honor while fighting for the financial interest of a few, but if I am wrong and there is use for the military today, then I should be able to tell if things were made transparent.
shoot, forgot:
transparency is a hard balance in military affairs...but it shouldn't be after the fact. I think everyone sees this video the way they want to. I see weapons, most of the vets I know saw weapons, but there are vets who don't. we are all subject to cognitive bias
