I hope you have found your “journey” to be as fascinating as I have found mine. It sounds like it has. I had never had an online profile, prior to the Steem blockchain, and have frankly been surprised at how much I have enjoyed it. I started out as an investor only. Lord knows it hasn’t paid much of an ROI (in the red …),but I am still “in here” due to the fascination I have experienced with interacting with others all over the world! Like say, for instance, you! 😉
Two “real world” items stood out to me, since “real life” trumps “virtual life,” at least for this Steemian. Lasik surgery – vision better than 20 / 20 sounds impressive. Wow! And loved your description of your now improved view of the mountains. Reminded me of my beloved life mate’s description of getting glasses and realizing, for the first time, that trees had leaves. Rather than just appear to be big green “lollipops” … 😊 And the gift of life with a little one. I believe they change our lives for the better. Deepens and enriches it!
Before heading on into my day, thought I would draw to your attention to a fellow Steemian from “down there” - @buckaroo. She is also from South Africa. She is pregnant with a little one and hasn’t been too active recently, but I think she’ll be back. I have always enjoyed her posts.

Very interesting that you started out as an investor. I'm hopeful you'll get out of the red one day! You well on your way to whaling so that should help as well!! Im aslo glad I can be some sort of entertainment source for you, always happy to spread some joy and laughter. The key to a happy life.
You should defo tell your partner to get the lasik done. Not sure how much it would set you back in the states, but in SA it will be like chump change for you. 20k ZAR. That's gotta be like you spend on a coke right? Lol but it truly was life changing. As is the new lady in my life. I did not realise how much time I had to myself before she made her entrance. But she's here to stay, and I can't picture my life without this adorable terrorist now.
