We found this a lot when we told people we would not vaccinate or send our kids to school, but like you say, not so much here on Steemit, in fact I have yet to receive a single bad comment. I think it's great what you are doing and you are an inspiration to us and many here on steemit. Here's to the next 1000 followers :)
