After drawing 1-1 against Congo on Ghana soil on Friday 1st September, 2017, the Black Stars even though won the return leg comprehesively today by 5 goals to 1, Ghana needs only a miracle to qualify for Russia 2018.
As it stands now, out of 4 games played with 2 games left, Ghana accumulated 5 points, Uganda 7 points, Egypt 9 points and Congo 1 point.
Only miracles can work for Ghana because the Black Stars have one home game against Egypt and one away against Uganda both of which are not easy games. The only miracle that can save Ghana is to win both matches at all cost to amass 6 points plus current 5 points which in total gives 11 points; a difficult task especially against Uganda who in the first drew 1:1 on Ghana soil.
