मेहनत की सराहना :
एक बार एक व्यक्ति एक बड़ी कंपनी में मैनेजर के पद के लिए आवेदन करने जाता है। वह प्रारंभिक साक्षात्कार में सफल हो जाता है। वह अंतिम साक्षात्कार के लिए अध्यक्ष से मिलता है। अध्यक्ष को उसके C. V. से पता चलता है कि उसकी शैक्षिक उपलब्धियां बहुत अच्छी हैं।

अपने माता-पिताओं के हाथों को साफ करने के बाद लड़के ने उनके सारे कपड़े चुप-चाप धो दिए। उस रात लड़के के माता पिता ने अपने बेटे से काफी देर तक बातें की। अगली सुबह लड़का अध्यक्ष के ऑफिस गया।
अध्यक्ष ने लड़के की आंखों में आंसू देखे और पूछा क्या तुम मुझे बता सकते हो कि कल तुमने क्या-क्या किया? कल क्या सीखा? लड़का जवाब देता है, मैंने अपने माता पिता के हाथों को साफ किया। और मैंने उनके के सारे कपड़े भी धो दिए सर। उनके योगदान को आज मैं जानता हूं, उनके बिना आज मैं यहां नहीं होता। मेरे माता-पिता की हाथो को देख कर ही और मुझे इस बात का एहसास हुआ कि मेरी पढ़ाई कि उन्हें कितनी बड़ी कीमत चुकानी पड़ी है। फिर अध्यक्ष कहता है, इसी बात को मैं अपने मैनेजर में देखना चाहता था। मैं उस इंसान को job देना चाहता था जो लोगों के काम की सरहाना करें। एक ऐसा इंसान चाहता था जो लोगों के दर्द को समझ कर अपने साथ-साथ लोगों की भलाई के बारे में भी सोचे। तुम सफल हुए।
दोस्तों एक बच्चा जिसे माता-पिता बहुत प्यार करते हैं। उसे जब भी, जो भी चाहिए कहीं से भी ला कर देते हैं।उसकी खुशी और भविष्य के लिए अपने सारे सुखों को दुर कर देते हैं। ऐसे माता-पिता का हमें सम्मान करना चाहिए। लेकिन जब आप घास काटते हो, पौधों को पानी देते हो, जब भी सफाई करते हो, बर्तन धोते हो तो कृपया करके उन्हें भी आपकी मेहनत और उनके प्रति जो प्यार है, उसका अनुभव होने दें। इसलिए नहीं कि आपके पास कोई नौकर रखने के लिए पैसे नहीं है। बल्कि इसलिए कि उन्हें बताया जा सके कि आप उनसे कितना प्यार करते हैं। आपको उन्हें समझना होगा, यह कोई मायने नहीं रखता कि आप कितने अमीर हो।
आपको अपने बच्चों को सही दिशा में ले जाना होगा। आपको अपने बच्चों को दूसरे की मेहनत की सराहना करना सिखाना होगा और दूसरों के दर्द, उनकी तकलीफों को समझने लायक बनाना होगा।
