Hello friends, in this blog i am going to share my experience of making my mining rig. I had searched for various parts in the market. you can find all parts in the computer market except mining motherboard and gpu because these are in very high demand in the market for mining and if you get these you will get at very high price.Fortunately i got all parts at right price. Below i have given the parts which i used in my mining rig.
- Ashrock H110 pro BTC+ motherboard
- Asus geforce gtx 1050ti graphics card (13)
- Antec 750W, Antec 650W power supply(i have used dual power supply. You can use single 1200W Corsair power supply ).
- Intel pentium G4400 processor
- ADATA 4gb DDR4 2400MHZ Ram
- Riser cable 6 pin 4 capacitor (purchased from
Ebay). - WD 120gb SSD Or Sandisk 32gb pendrive
- Aluminium or Wooden frame for rig.
Connect all these parts properly.
If you want to build a rig of upto 8 gpu's then there is no problem because Windows Os supports upto 8 gpu's. You can also run 10 gpu's with Windows but in long term it will become unstable. But i was using 13 gpu so i had to think for alternatives like linux. But setting up linux like Ubuntu is very difficult process for mining. Then i came to know about SimpleminingOs. They take 2$ per month charge but you have to do nothing, just go to their website download their os according to your graphics card and make an account with gmail id. Boot it into a 32 gb pendrive .and after boot up you will get a text file in the pen drive, just open the file and put your email id by which you have created the account in simpleminingos.net . Insert ypur pendrive to your rig and you are ready to go.
Another problem in running a mining rig is that if you are out of home then how to turn off and turn on your rig from anywhere. So for this problem i had used the Internet of Things(IOT) technology by which i can control my mining rig from anywhere in the world.
For this i have used Sonoff wifi switch 10A 2200W.
Sonoff Wifi Switch 10A 2200W For Home Automation Android & IOS Support.
With this you can control you rig with voice commands using google assistant.
