According to data from the US Geological Survey (USGS), Mexico experienced an earthquake at 7.2 magnitude in the Pinotepa de Don Luis region.

People were panicked because of the earthquake 43 kilometers deep, but some buildings were damaged due to severe tremors.

While the earthquake is felt in the capital city of Mexico City, it has not yet been reported whether or not there is a casualty. After the depression experienced in southern and central Mexico, there were aftershocks of 5.8 magnitude.
The US Geological Research Center first described the magnitude of the earthquake as 7.5.
