WHY YOU NEED TO START TODAY – MENTOR CHRONICLES 01

It was a lovely Thursday morning when I reached out to the gentleman that would later become my Mentor.

We had been in touch lately and his stellar success in business completely intrigued me and continued to amaze me. It was too good to be true.

That morning, I couldn’t stomach it anymore. Over a quick chat, I said,

There is a lot about your story I personally need to know about and learn from…
Not just me, but the youths of Africa need to learn from your story and be inspired to take action on their dreams.”

After a brief pause, his response hit my phone. It was simple, yet very uncommon.

It’s a pleasure to connect with you too. I created investment policies for private investors and started.

The key is really to start. No major thing happens without action. Otherwise, the story in detail is a long one.”

Wow!

THE KEY IS REALLY TO START
I read that line several times. First of all, all he said completely resonated with me and I will tell you why. It had been my passion to publish content and share it with the world.

I am talking about content that will change lives and inspire people everywhere to achieve great things with their lives.

As a young person growing up, it had always been my dream to produce a magazine that every young person in Africa will crave to read.

But the high cost of printing in Africa always seemed to deter me.

One day, a friend of mine with whom I had shared the vision asked me why I was still foot-dragging on my publishing dreams.

Immediately, I resumed my tirade of complaints. I went on and on about the high cost of printing quality magazines and how it had held me back.

Then, he asked me a simple question –

why don’t you go online and start?

When I heard that question, a light bulb came on in my head and I knew I had found the answer I had been looking for.

I quickly swung into action and within the next few weeks, Konnect Africa was born.

BENEFITS OF STARTING
Since we started, I have had a whole lot of experiences and encountered several opportunities that have left me completely speechless.

I met people I never dreamed I will meet and met my Mentor in the process. Also, I have worked with great minds while learning the delicate art of managing people.

Once, we were invited for a dinner in the Nigerian State House, i.e, the Presidency. Just because I decided to start with what I had and where I was.

Also, I have also made mistakes along the way but in all, I must confess that it has been a walk to remember.

Just like my Mentor said, “No major thing happens without action”. I have seen that getting started triggers miracles.

When we start, miracles begin to happen. Hence, we actually hold back our own miracles when we elect to do nothing.

So, is there any area of your life you have been delaying action? I challenge you to take action today. Why?

Because it’s time to unlock another dimension of your greatness.
