Dear Daniel,
My memoir, The Making of Letters to Daniel is officially on sale on Amazon. It is my twenty-seventh book published overall and is from Erudite Press. An imprint of the small press Hydra Publications.
The book looks wonderful. And it has netted its first sales both in print and ebook. And in this pandemic fueled world in person book signings are hard to come by. So it's strictly social media and the internet to move this tome.
I wrote this book to process what was an arduous journey. The pre to post production journey took roughly a year and two months. The hands that touched Letters to Daniel were many and the ranged from helpful hands to the truly gifted, to the geniuses at DP, Editor, and Composer positions.
I would have sunk if it were not for my Producer and amazing best friend Missy Goodman. She held me up through such a whirlwind shoot.
We were scheduled to go eight days, we wrapped in six after being told we didn't know what we were doing, that we were misinformed, and that we needed at least 75k to pull it off.
To be honest I didn't think about the naysayers until after it was all done. I'm disappointed that locally one of the conventions has made the move to online, but they are saying there will still be a film festival and awards ceremony.
This convention as well as other film festivals played a role in helping make the movie. Writing the book was a way to process a year's worth of emotion.
As opposed to usual letter to you format I was able to write in a more traditional format. The exciting part is my memoir is already an Official Selection for AOF Megafest.
I do have two signings lined up, which, given the world's state I am ever grateful for that at least. Hopefully when the world is better again I'll be doing signings and events promoting the book. As it is I encourage to enjoy the trailer to Letters to Daniel and I invite you to check out the book.
